looking for some trouble tonight
Date & Time: August 31st, before Ella's part.
Location: Um. An apartment. Probably Sango's.
Characters: Sango (
taijiya) and Blaine (
strategic_guile)
Summary: What are odd friends who occasionally make innuendos at you for, except to braid your hair and quiz you on guns and drag you to parties?
Warnings: Probably none, unless Blaine gets his own.
Straightening up the kitchen and digging in the pantry was proving a fruitless distraction, and not a very good excuse. She really did need to keep better track of where the groceries were going--but with the recent random flux of roommates coming and going and her own often busy schedule, she'd been eating out far too often and little in between.
"Alright, point taken," Sango noted finally with a sigh, a delayed response to Blaine's earlier statement that there would be food at the party he'd mentioned. It'd been a subject that kept cropping up today almost organically, even while at the shooting range. Some party that a girl Sango didn't know was throwing, open to anybody. It didn't seem to make much of a difference to Blaine that she had no idea how 'modern' parties worked, didn't know anyone but him that was going, and had precious little knowledge of the social etiquette presumably required for such a situation.
She quit rummaging and crossed her arms, uncertain. "But I hope you know I've got no idea how this works."

Blonde hair pushed back behind his ear with a hand, he made his way to the door. "Let's get started, just in case we have to go out and buy something for you to wear after all."
no subject
"Alright," she sighed in compliance and followed him out of the door, locking it absently behind her. Having her appearance fussed over was something she wasn't used to... even if it was sort of nice. "When did it start, again?"
no subject
"We've got plenty of time. Let's just say seven," he added. They reached his door and quickly unlocked and opened it. He waved her in and came behind her to close it. He didn't bother with the lock and just went back to his room. He opened his closet and took out some shirts that no longer fit him.
"Which color do you like?" He held up four of different colors and patterns.
[[Awww yeah mun laziness you get to pick the color and pattern 8D]]
fff. but i am also lazy...
Her fingers landed on a tamer one with vertical green pinstripes. "I think this one."
Not as lazy as me mwahaha
"Okay, I'll put it on you and you can see how it looks. Hold up your arms."

grandmadress, but it wouldn't exactly hurt, either. Sango obeyed and held up her arms. Blaine has proved that he was no Houshi-sama, but she was still going to watch those hands.no subject
Then he tied the shirt sleeves around her, to fashion a belt and a bow. He took a step back to look at it. It didn't look bad, but it'd be better if she wasn't wearing another dress underneath. He may have her turn it around so the buttons were in the front and see how that looked. Too bad he didn't sew, because he'd seen his older sister make great dresses out of his own shirts before.
"How's that? Just a test. It'll fit you better when you aren't wearing another dress under it." Another dress that is a few inches longer than his shirt dress.

"Um. It's nice, but." She fingered the hem, frowning. "It doesn't seem as if there's really... much there."
no subject
"It covers all the vitals."
no subject
She raised an eyebrow at him. "Yes, the vitals are covered, but I tend to go for a little more insurance."

Blaine reached over to undo the dress shirt and lay it on the bed. Wrapping it back up would be quick, but mostly it was her hair that would take time. "Let me do your hair first. We can do that in the living room. Go sit on the floor in front of the couch."
He went into his drawer to get a brush and comb and a few hair ties he had collected over the past few months.

So she somehow found herself sitting in front of the couch anyway, Kirara curled in her lap.

"There's nothing wrong. I just want to braid it." A ponytail would be fine for the party, since it wasn't anything fancy. There wasn't enough resources for fancy, even if Vanadi tried his best, but Blaine just wanted to sit for a while and fuss over someone. She was too young to be his younger sister, but that wasn't the point. He sat behind her and pulled her hair free of the tie and combed through it.

Strange, how her life in Exsilium was at many times much more domestic than the state of her life at home. If you could overlook the cultural discrepancies.
"Where'd you learn this?" she asked as he worked.
