Date & Time: 26th August
Location: Nora Cafe
Characters: Rise Kujikawa and Shion Karanomori
Summary: Girl talk? ...actually, there's not much actual girl talk.
Warnings: None!
[She'd promised to visit, after all, and Shion wasn't in the business of going back on her word. Besides, Shion has— reasons for today's visit.
All that later, anyway. For now, she wanders into Nora Cafe, keeping her pleasant smile on her face, looking, looking. She's casting for one specific idol today.]

Shion would probably notice the silver armlet Rise's wearing next. Because it's glowing. And in a flash of light, the simple clothes she'd been wearing transform into her pink and white stage costume.
Working as a café singer is very different in a lot of ways from what she's used to back home. There's no uproar of applause, or enthusiastic greeting for hundreds of excited fans. But that doesn't mean she won't still give it her all for the performance once the music starts!
Which it quickly does, and Rise launches into a performance of one of the more energetic songs they play. Complete with choreography she worked on herself, and improved quite a bit over the last few times with Sheryl Nome's guidance!
She notices Shion pretty quickly, and her smile brightens just a little bit more. They'd only spoken once, but Rise liked her... even starting to consider her a friend. And she always has just a little extra spark in her performance when her friends come to see her.
The show goes on for a few minutes. Shion might even feel a sudden boost in alertness and energy, thanks to the effects of Rise's weapon. And once it's over, Rise smiles, gives an energetic "thank you" to her audience, and walks off into the back... not without an almost hopeful glance in Shion's direction. She never did mention the other part of what she does here... but she really wants to go out and talk to her...
Sorry Shion, but it'll be a minute before she comes back out...]

Still, it isn't like she's going anywhere, not with a fresh cup of coffee anyway (she hopes it's decent; then again, it's been a while since she's had any good non-instant coffee).
Come out soon, Rise, it probably isn't healthy for anyone to sit here till the end of your shift sipping coffee. But hey, if she takes more than two minutes, Shion will be looking down at her tablet and sipping her drink at the same table.]
aww, cute! ;~:
She looks a little surprised when she gets to the table, though.]
Oh... you already have coffee...?
[She blushes a little, for some reason.]
I was just coming out to see if anyone had taken your order yet...
[Well. Not just that, but it was the first thing on her mind when she walked out. Since she's still technically on duty, for now.]
Did you enjoy the show?
you have no idea how many times i rewrote that tag so it didn't sound oddly predatory, sob.
Sure did. It's been a while since I've heard something that upbeat.
she's almost legal! ... even though she doesn't look it, oops...
It's nice to forget about everything and just have fun for a while, in a place like this...
[At that thought, she suddenly blushes a little again.]
You should see Sheryl-san perform sometime! She really goes all-out!
[Was that a wistful gaze at the stage? Maybe. If Shion blinked, she could have missed it entirely.]
it's okay, Rise, she doesn't want to jump you
You do too, you know.
[ But Shion's also got two working eyes and ears, and it isn't like Rise's been very subtle about her whole hero worship this time and the last time they'd met. Besides, she's in the line of putting two and two together, this is...well, easy. Easier?
Either way, she lets her gaze trail after Rise's to the stage. ]
She isn't performing today?
it's a good thing Shion's too old for her, or she might be disappointed
[It's undeniable that she feels outclassed by Sheryl in every way, but she's still got the confidence and attitude that made her such a popular idol back home! Even if this world does stomp all over it every chance it gets.]
Oh... no, not today. [Suddenly, she's worried Shion will be disappointed.] Sorry... I know you were probably looking forward to seeing her, too.
[Look, Shion, she managed to talk about Sheryl without going all sparkly-eyed! ... Sort of.]
it's all right, Shion can neechan it up
Actually, I came to look for you.
she does make an adorable neechan... :3
[She hadn't expected that. The brief moment of surprise quickly gives way to another bright smile. She's seen friends in here before, but this is probably the first time someone came specifically to see her!
Oddly, she's still kind of standing awkwardly at Shion's side, and doesn't really say anything else. Like she's not sure what she's supposed to do now.]
you have an odd taste in neechans, Rise
[ That's fine, Shion's motioning to the chair across her anyway. ]
Got some time? I'll even buy you a drink.
[ Employees shouldn't be seen slacking off just chatting, after all. ]
you have -no- idea... /eyes Junko Enoshima... >_>
[She looks a bit embarrassed all of a sudden.]
I, um... have to take the order, though. You're in my section.
[... Okay, so she's not entirely proud of having to work as a waitress while certain other girls get to be full-time singers. Not that she holds it against that certain other girl because she's ~amazing~. But there's no way this wasn't going to be awkward. At least for her and her teen idol ego.]
THAT'S STRANGER DANGER.
Fair enough. Just put what you want on the order list, consider it my treat.
but she's her frieeeend... D;
Yeah, it's not too busy, so it won't be a problem!
[Then, after Shion responds:]
Oh... alright... [Jotting down a quick note...] ... Anything else?
[Sorry, Shion, force of habit. She has to make absolutely sure the order is complete before she goes to get it.]
Rise...........
Just that for now.
don't judge her terrible taste in friends, this place really messes her up
[Awkward as this is, she manages a smile and shuffles off to get... her own drink.
And it doesn't take long before she's on her way back to the table, one of her favorite juice cocktails in hand. Still playing the waitress role, she very professionally sets it down on the table, and then... casually seats herself.
She's not sure what else to say just yet... Shion said she came to see her? What could it be about?]
this is what happens when she doesn't have the team any more huh
I hope you don't mind indulging a couple of questions from silly old me for now. Nothing personal, promise.
she had half of them! for one glorious month... and it was all downhill from there...
[They haven't known each other for very long, and Shion's definitely a little on the older side, comparatively, but she still considers her a new friend!]
What's up?
[She asks as she sips on her juice. Through a bendy straw. Like the grownup professional she is.]
....what happened to the cast.
You go to the training sessions every day, don't you? [ It's-- almost a requirement, after all. ] What do you think of them?
everyone went back home except for Rise... ;~;
Not... really. [There's a little pain in Rise's tone, there. Regret, maybe? Not enough to completely kill her mood, not after how long it's been, but definitely a trace of sadness.] I used to go with someone, but... my 'weapon' works better here.
