Date: August 28th or so (backdated)
Location: Unit 607
Characters: Chrysos, Sanji, Emilia
Summary: Shifting from temporary to less-temporary housing means, eventually, meeting new roommates.
Warnings: None!
He would've been more taken aback by the interior of the apartment had the keys been given to him in the first few days of arrival. As it stood, the futuristic nature of these things in Exsilium had gotten marginally less jarring in the last few weeks, and so Chrys was able to bypass the long minute of standing in the doorway to gawk that might have otherwise ensued. The smell of fresh paint was still a surprise, though, in how it stung the nostrils.
...so this is meant to be home, he thought, for an indefinite period of time.
Among the first things he found himself doing, after setting the backpack with all his worldly possessions in a vacant bedroom, was investigating the rest of the apartment. Opening doors, looking out windows, looking over appliances, keeping an ear out for signs of other incoming roommates. Keeping part of his mind occupied while the rest continued to digest the same old information it'd been chewing over since he'd arrived.

He was already smoking a cigarette when he barged in, probably not in the right kind of mood to be meeting new people. Unless they were women. Oh how he hoped his new roommates were women! "Oi!" he called out rather sternly. "Anybody in?"

So, she settles for the option of being thrown in with strangers. She has no personal belonging on her, so she gets to the room very early when there's nobody there yet (or so she thinks, she's actually there a little later than Chrysos). She looks through the rooms, the kitchen (out of the way, boys, this is her spot, she's a chef), the living room until she hears rustle and rattling. Following the sound, she finds Chrysos opening some windows in the living room. She would probably greet him, but a loud Oi! cuts her off and she turns around quickly to Sanji. She frowns a little and crosses her arms over herself in an unconscious protective gesture.
"Are you assigned to this room?" she asks after a moment of awkward silence, looking from one to the other.

Ah, awkward silences. Chrysos was never quite adept at defusing them. His brother had more silver to his tongue.
"...yes. You as well?"

He swept into a deep bow. "The name's Sanji, the Marines call me Black Leg, and I am your servant of love, miss!"
Still ignoring that there was another young man in the room.

Emilia leans back slightly at his approach, frowning in disapproval as he saunters around like a peacock trying to court a female. Then slides her eyes over to the other man and sighs with an eyeroll.
"Ah, oui, quel bien," she mutters in the driest tone you could muster, keeping her arms crossed and maintaining distance. She nods to the other young man at his question, not exactly pleased with the arrangement, but it's better than being without a roof.
"Do we need to have a list of rules or are we going to be adults?"
Looking at you, Sanji.
