something much more like home
Date & Time: 8/30
Location: Icy cold sadelf lakehouse getaway
Characters: icy cold sadelf, lion with a perm
Summary: he's going to the safest place he knows
Warnings: ??? ?
[the whole world looks different, smells different, sounds different...it's really not, he knows, he's sure, but all the same. it's disorienting, the way the buildings look, the way the people smell, the way the world sounds. all well and fine for a cat, but Martin remembers Exsilium for other things.
too bad those things rarely included remembering routes and buildings. it makes straying beyond the Hold a hazardous thing, to say the least...but once he's finally free of the Hold, he can trust a little in the way the air smells the further from people and things to lead him well beyond. and he knows there's something out there for him.
or was; he's still not sure how much time's passed.
he's well off the mark to start, but going in circles, he thinks, will help. he knows he can't stray too far.
lions aren't distance runners, that's for sure. but he pushes himself as fast as he can when at last he sees the structure he's been hoping to find. the lake, too – that's undeniable proof.
dropping to a heavy lope, he croaks out a loud sound without thinking. Koltira!]

Martin? You're back ... [He stops, frowning.] ... in a manner of speaking. What's happened?

even the odd smells that fill his nose can't keep him from being happy and grateful to find Koltira here, aware of him.]

Martin ... this is not right.

right, not right...it doesn't bother Martin too much right this moment, terribly happy to be recognized, especially by someone very dear. more than just the child can rejoice in that.
he lifts his head back away from it enough to peer up with wide, bright eyes, tail swishing.]
