Meeting a young artisan

Date & Time: Sep 5 - Late Afternoon
Location: A small cafe just outside the Hold
Characters: Giovanni Auditore and Ella (closed)
Summary: Giovanni meets a young lady in his quest to find some one who can repair a broken hidden blade.
Warnings: None, atm

Giovanni asked for a table near the back of the small cafe where both the main door and the entrance to the kitchen could be watched. It was a habit to make certain he was aware of the comings and going of people. One never knew when trouble might present itself, especially with the local citizens so upset with the travelers.
Then he waited and watched. He was not sure when the person he had sent the message to would arrive or what they would look like but as soon as some one appeared and seemed to be looking for someone they would be waved over to his table. It was a risk to arrange a blind meeting like this but for the chance to repair his hidden blade it was a risk he was willing to take.

Giovanni would probably be surprised when Ella walked through the door, hands on the pockets of her hoodie. She moved casually, mostly because she was pretty good at making herself scarce if needed, but also due to the fact she really couldn't get hurt. She didn't know who she was finding, but she assumed that anyone looking slightly out of place would be a good guess.

It didn't take her much time to spot Giovanni, waving, so she waved back before making her way there. Some heads turned, but fortunately the locals seemed to be too preoccupied with their own businesses at the moment. "Are you Giovanni?" she asked, a hand tentatively on the chair.

"That I am." She sits, smiling at the way he described her power. Simple, yet somewhat elegant; she can get behind that. "So, there was something you wanted to show me?" She looked around again. They weren't being watched (apparently) but still...

"I think we might be a little more at ease if we get something to eat, too."

"Oh, just something to drink. Chocolate maybe?" Someone else was paying, so she had to restrain herself. Manners were a thing, right?

Ella watched the device with attention, poking at the pieces. "It looks mostly complete though, so it shouldn't be too difficult. If you could show me an approximate of how it should look when it's all working well it shouldn't take me long to fix it."

And then she sipped her chocolate. Like a boss.

Chocolate was goooood.

"Drawings would help a lot. I see this is some sort of mechanism...I might need to make some test runs before the real deal, but it doesn't look too difficult." In other words, she loved the concept and that was making her all sorts of interested.

"Oh well, nothing really? Maybe you can just owe me one and we'll see what happens later."

Or maybe I just suck >:O (also she'll talk to him once the move is done)

Taking the napkin, Ella examined it carefully. The parts appeared in her mind, clicking together and working as one, but one thing was to imagine it and another thing was to willing it to form itself. Seriously, that was pretty difficult.

"I'll let you know when I have this done. And don't worry, I'm sure I'm going to need a favor sometime in the future." Because Ella had a bad case of chronic bad luck.

Ella nodded, smiling a bit.

"Still, if you need something, I'm always around." She just hoped that statement was accurate.

Oh that would be the coolest gig she could get

"It's no problem."

She took the pieces and the napkin and stored them safely. This and the hydrospanner were going to keep her working for a while. Good, good.

"That's good to know, so thank you, Giovanni."

That would be soooo cool

She nodded in return, and let him leave first. She had her job cut out, now it was time to get to it.
