Open: A girl's got her needs
Date & Time: 7th Sept, nighttime.
Location: General housing building and Unit 1006.
Characters: Seras Victoria + open
Summary: Seras is a vampire, vampires sleep in coffins. Seras tries to sneak a coffin in through the housing to her room; awkward questions and hilarity ensues. Your character is welcome to a) catch her in the halls or b) for roommates when she actually does manage to make it to 1006 :)
Warnings: None for now, will be edited if they come up.
[She's made it a week sleeping in a bed, or as later nights would attest, under it on the hard floor. It's been thirty years since Seras last slept in a bed, her Master had been quite insistent she use a coffin from the moment she first awoke as a vampire. In Siren's Port she'd had one, graciously given to her by Doctor Van Helsing, a rather beautiful and expensive creation - the man had been generous and kind to her indeed.
The one she's managed to procure now is not quite so nice, so expensive, but it is a coffin, comfortably lined and good enough to keep out all possible daylight when she sleeps. She probably could continue sleeping in a bed but it's just... not right anymore. She's used to coffins now, she likes them even.
So here she is, ready to try and get the thing up to her room with preferably no encounters with the other residents if she can manage it. She's waited until nightime and she's tried wrapping it up in a sheet but of course, when has she ever been that lucky?]

I'm used to sleeping in one.
A coffin.

I'm a vampire.

I'm afraid we don't really have those where I'm from. Or at least, they don't go by the same name.
no subject
[Well she probably just embarassed herself more than she needed to.
Seras sets the coffin down.]
Well it's like, um, I'm dead. Pretty much. And um, vampires drink human blood. We need to. Not that I kill anyone! A lot do though, I tend to stick to donated blood though.
no subject
Sigh.
And to think, for a while she'd thought she finally got a normal one, without doppelgangers or weird absences. Though... she probably should've suspected something; Seras doesn't exactly have a normal aura.
Most of Sango's instincts are telling her that this is bad shit, that she should probably kill this woman rather than live with her. The problems being that a) the Initiative would likely just resurrect her and b) Seras has actually seemed pretty nice and things are not always as they seem.]
Donations.

[Seras suspects the reaction, the perfectly normal sane reaction to learning your roommate was a monster. She doesn't blame humans in the slightest when they feel that way, it's healthy given that most vampires would enjoy killing them.
Still...]
Blood donations, if you know how people do for medical reasons. It's put into bags and I drink from those, no biting involved.
no subject
I don't know, but that's true of a lot of things here. But even if you... drink blood out of bags?... [Some serious suspicious squinting here--] ...I don't see why you need that.
[She gestures to the coffin.]
no subject
I suppose I don't really need it... but it's what I'm used to, it's what vampires do. We're nocturnal by nature, we like the dark and coffins shut out the light particuarly well. My master was quite forceful about me doing so after I was first turned, it's traditional I suppose, on account of us being 'undead'.
Now I can't seem to sleep properly without one.
no subject
[Well, Sango's never slept particularly well without Kirara by her side. Perhaps a coffin isn't much stranger than a demon cat?
...er. But then there's the issue of what now. Sango rubs somewhat sleepily at her eyes, stifling a yawn, and thinks what the hell.]
...did you need a hand?
no subject
[She looks apologetic.]
I'm fine carrying it, thank you. Though... if you could open the door to my room for me that would be lovely, just so I can get it through.
[She could use her shadow for that but she thinks she's done enough to creep people out tonight.]
no subject
Sango nods and goes to do as she's asked, propping the door open and sneaking a discreet glance inwards to see if she can spot any other strange vampire paraphernalia she should be aware of.]
no subject
[She says with a polite and grateful smile that if now Sango looks she might be able to spot the pointier than average canine teeth.
Seras slides the coffin through the door into her room - which is patently plain and boring as the rooms come except for the giant presence of her cannon propped against the wall.]
Sorry if I woke you up.
