Mistaken Identity

Date & Time: Night of August 14th
Location: Transport housing unit #1008
Characters: Sonic ([personal profile] mach_n_roll), Claudia Donovan ([personal profile] acts_of_claudia)
Summary: Sonic starts acting funny and kidnaps a girl. Hilarity ensues (not really.)
Warnings: Mild (somewhat cartoony) violence

"Do it."

Sonic hadn't been feeling himself, lately. It all started earlier that week, a... strange itching just under his left ear. If you could call it that. Felt like a quill started to grow the wrong way or something...

"DO IT."

He'd started waking up later and later. Then falling asleep standing. Or... not asleep. Just staring into empty space, really. He'd suddenly realize that he was in a completely different place minutes later. And this string of words kept echoing in his head, no voice, just... words...

"You will go to the top of the housing building, to the last room on the left, and take the girl that lives there with you."

He started to get worried the last night, but that's when he stopped waking up altogether.

"We will meet you on the shore. Show humility. Obey, RAT."

Oh don't worry. He was still walking. Taking. But he still wasn't quite himself. Literally.

"DO IT!!"

[Action]

There's a slow, steady knock on the door. Metronome-like. Bamn, bamn, bamn.

At first Claudia thought that the knocking was part of the music she was playing. She had earned her DJ cred at the party, after all, she'd been once again bitten by the music bug and it was refusing to let go. She was humming, strumming idly on her guitar as Bon Jovi sang about it being his life and all that jazz and didn't even register the extra bass line.

But when the song changed and the shuffle brought up a slower tune it was apparent that the knocking was something else. She reached up and muted her laptop so she could listen. "What the frack?" That was the weirdest knocking she'd ever heard... was it coming from next door? Wait, no, it sounded like someone was actually knocking on their door. She rolled her eyes. If Misha and Cross hadn't opened the door by now they probably weren't even home. She set her guitar aside and rolled off the bed.

"I'm coming! Geez, hold your horses." She rolled her eyes, padding barefoot to the door and tugging it open, "Whatever you're selling I ain't buying."

Dude is that Sonic the freaking Hedgehog?! Any alarms that might have sounded in her head at the sketchiness of that request are immediately quashed because it's Sonic the Freaking Hedgehog.

She gives him a grin of her own, "Oh hey! Uh, yeah. Come on in." She moves out of the way, gesturing for him to enter, "I haven't seen you around, how long have you been here?

"A year? No kidding, huh? That's pretty crazy. I've only been here a few months."

She shrugs, shutting the door behind him and walking past him into the apartment. She gestures vaguely as she leads him deeper in, "I'd offer to give you a tour but I have a feeling all of these places are pretty much set up the same. If he looks around he might see some remnants of one of her first roommates in the form of a few 96's etched in the walls that she hasn't bothered to patch yet.

When they reach her room she walks right in, not even caring that she's letting a strange... blue hedgehog... into her inner sanctum. She gestures towards the desk, "You can sit down if you want."

She can't help but snerk at that hop. What? It's not every day that one of your favorite video game characters hops up on your desk like that.

She plops down on the bed with a grin, "Kinda? Like it originally did but I asked for it when I got here. It's my weapon. Jimi Hendrix's guitar. To quote Marcia Griffiths: 'It's Electric'"
