[Maya had only gotten about half of what the woman was telling her. War? Future? Time travel? Just what the heck was going on, here?! How was she supposed to use the... whatever the lady gave her? There weren't buttons on it! They didn't even had computers in Kurain!]

[Worse than that, as soon as she'd ventured out, she'd gotten caught in the rain. Okay, in desperate need of training or not, rain was not a waterfall, and it was cold!]

[None of this even looked familiar. She let out a noise of vague frustration, looking around for someone... anyone...]
