Date & Time: September 6
Location: Asbel's apartment
Characters: Asbel Lhant (
pactfulfilled) and Hubert Oswell (
omurice)
Summary: Something's wrong with Asbel, and Hubert's gone to see what's up.
Warnings: Violence between brothers very likely. Will update as necessary.
[Those texts were odd, far too odd to be from Asbel. Hubert may still be relearning about his brother, but many qualities have remained since they were children. And as much as Hubert has distanced himself from Asbel, he knows the same is not true in reverse -- to see that such distance has been placed means something's off. After all, the young man has always been astute in his observations, especially in concern for his often reckless brother. It's why he's quick to arrive at Asbel's apartment as he's getting those texts. As he's receiving a challenge from him...
So it's not long after he receives that last text that Asbel will hear a knock on the door.]
Asbel, it's me.
[He's even going to introduce he's here to ensure that there's no second guessing or hiding. If he doesn't answer the door soon, he will gladly invite himself in.]

[The man's thoughts never strayed far from those most important to him - how they were doing, how he could help and protect them. And so, encouraging him to leave his friends behind of his own accord and without revealing where he was headed to proved a futile task. Finally, however, Asbel's consciousness had been wrestled into submission, and there it lies now. Tucked away, knocked out, and unable to do anything to resist.]
[Asbel isn't the one in control anymore.]
[Asbel isn't the one slowly drawing Excalibur from its sheath.]
[Asbel isn't the one who speaks, quietly and tonelessly.]
...Come in.

Upon hearing Asbel's voice, it's far too obvious that he's gone off the deep end. He grabs his blades, transforming them into their gun counterpart as he slowly opens the door, peeking one of the guns through. Better to be safe than sorry at this point.]
Do you not wish to greet me personally? I thought you were better than that.
[At times like this he can always fall back on his snark, so that even if he is wrong, it can appear as if he was lightheartedly playing -- if not then, well he can feel justified in his actions.]

My hands are full. I told you I have to leave soon.
[He raises his arm, angling the sword with stiff, unnatural movements.]
The door's open.
[When the moment arrives and Asbel(?) finally swings the blade upwards, there is a visible, detectable flash. The sword is far too showy for its own good.]
