He's trying to discreetly shimmy his way up one of the outside pipes at this point -- at least the place sort of has windows, instead of being one of those crazy space prisons that looked like they were made of glass.
It gives him a bit of a better vantage point for seeing things coming, but it also leaves him more exposed if anyone actually comes around the corner, so Naoya's definitely twitchy as he does his best to get out of sight as fast as possible. Of course, when Elmer comes walking right up it startles a half-yelp out of him and he flails a little as he tries to recoil and hide behind the pipe (somehow), and instead loses his handhold and falls neatly on his butt.
"Ow... I'm just one of the neighborhood delinquents, I swear, just a little graffiti and--" He lowers his hands and looks up at that point, since he isn't shot or anything, surprisingly. "Oh, it's you guys! Uh."
Whoops, that was a little loud. He looks nervously toward the front door, then scrambles to his feet and makes a 'follow me' gesture. There's a little supply nook near the back of the building where he'd thought he might be able to get in; too bad he doesn't know how to pick locks. But it should be enough to hide them from anyone who might think to come looking.
They just have to make sure there's nobody coming from the other side.
