Date & Time: A day or two after relocating to the moonbase
Location: Moonbase
Characters: Lucy, Lily, OPEN
Summary: Lucy's wandering to explore the moonbase.
Warnings: I'll warn YOU. Ah, actually it's just an all purpose log for NEw/OLd CR to run into Lucy and Plue. *cough* So... not much but sad stuff maybe?

Even after being on the moonbase for a few days now, Lucy still felt guilty over the situation. She worried about her friends from the guild, as well as the ones outside the guild. But, she didn't want to spend her entire time moping about. If the initiative - those that remained - felt they could turn things around, then by god she'd do her best. After that... well. She'd worry about that afterwards. So for the most part, Lucy was wandering around the base with Plue in her arms, before heading back to her room, and that's where one may bump into her in the hallway or main areas.

Space! Yutaka Watari was in space! The moon to be specific! With this new development, Watari could overlook the events that had happened the past month. Think of all the possibilities! What was the technology here like? What'd happen if 003 and him ended up stumbling into the dangerous vacuum that was space?! Would they die?! Or not?

In any case, Watari was wandering the halls excitedly with 003, studying every detail of the moon base when he stumbled into this blonde young lady...

Were those really the kinds of thoughts someone should be thinking!? Well it's not likely they were going to actually _TEST_ that question out right? ... Right?

In any case, WHOMP! and Lucy, who hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings much, is stumbled into - which knocks her off balance, sending the summoner tumbling backwards with a squeak of surprise. Poor Plue is practically flung out of her arms, tossed upwards a short distance, flails, and then lands on Lucy's stomach. Both are a bit confused as to what just happened.

Lucy, however, sits up and glances around until she sees what she bumped into, an arm curling protectively around her companion. "Ah! Sorry about that I..really wasn't looking where I was going."

Watari was surprised, of course! And when he saw that he'd bumped into a ~~cute~~ young lady, he extended a hand to her to help her up.

"It's fine! I've been stumbling into a lot of people lately!"

There was just so much to see around here that you ended up looking at those rather than what was in front of you!

Plenty cute too, it's okay to admit it!

Lucy placed Plue on the floor to her so he didn't tumble off, reaching up to take the hand offered to her. "Ahah, I guess everyone is still in a daze... thank you." She added as he helped her up.

[Ibin's at loose ends. He knows the Initiative is depending on them to figure out some way to undo this mess, but it's really, really beyond him. Just now, he's been toying with the idea of going to the Virtual Simulation Rooms and ~~getting away from it all~~ seeing if brainstorming in different surroundings will help. Passing Lucy in the hallway, he reads the guilt on her face as clearly as anyone might read the guilt on his own, and tries to give her a smile.] Hello, there. I think we might have met, before? Are you doing alright?

[ Lucy looks up curiously at the other who greeted her, for a second at a loss for names. Crap. She hates that feeling because she knows she met him..! But ... ]

A-ah! Yeah that- that's right! [ Oh! YES, she remembers! Phew. The embarrassment passes, and she musters a weak smile. ] I'm ... doing as all right as anyone would in this situation. What about you?

Well... alright. [YEP, THAT'S PRETTY MUCH THE BEST WORD FOR IT.] It's... I'm finding it kind of hard to adjust to being in such an enclosed space, actually. Sure, the wastelands were kind of dangerous, but at least setting foot out of town wouldn't kill you immediately.

I was actually thinking of trying the, um, VR rooms? Where you can ask the computer to show you scenery? [He's not very good at future tech.] I sort of thought it might be nice to see the ocean again for a few minutes. Company would be nice, if you feel like it.

[ Lucy smiles weakly. Yeah, alright is... well. ]

You lived in the wastelands?.. [ Are you crazy? She pauses at the offer though, because she ... doesn't -rEALLY- feel like company, but she knows that was just her mopey self moping and that was no way to deal with a situation. They had to stand together, after all. So she smiled a little bit more, nodding at the good doctor. ]

Sure, why not..?

Heh heh, well no, I didn't live in the wastelands, I just went out once or twice in groups, and it wasn't... bad... [OKAY THE ACID RAIN AND MUTATED ANIMALS WERE PRETTY BAD] ....Well, it wasn't bad all the time, anyway. The space was nice, and the quiet. One night I'm pretty sure I saw a star! [He sighs and adds somewhat moodily.] And now they tell us if we go outside we'll freeze and suffocate and our eyeballs will explode. How about that.

[He begins walking towards the VR rooms, and similarly turns his thoughts to more pleasant ones.] But no, when I said I was missing the beach, I meant good beaches. Like the one the Initiative sent us to a little while back? It was so much like home! [That memory, at least, brings a real smile to his face.]

[ She thought some of the mutated animals were pretty cute! Like that family of technicolor deer...]

Oh...yeah, I... I am kind of unused to that. They could be lying, but... i seriously doubt that. [ Slowly she pads after the good doctor, a brief smile touching her face at the mention of the beach. ]

It was a lovely beach, I will grant that. [ She remembered her friends had a lot of fun there that first day. And then she got attacked that evening so - YEAH. ] Have you been to those....erm,... Vee Arr rooms before?

[Well ok, the technicolor deer were nice, but Ibin could've lived without those fanged tortoises.]

I haven't! [And for all he knows, her emphatic pronunciation is the correct one.] They sound kind of unbelievable, don't they? [He gives a small, self-deprecating chuckle.] If it turns out to be all overinflated talk, I'm going to feel a little silly. But-- well, I thought-- they have so many other technological marvels I never could've dreamed of before I was brought here. So, who knows? [As he says this, they near the closest of the VR rooms.]

Though Lily had seen the odd animal in the city before the move to the moon base, she'd never encountered one like Plue before. At first, she'd almost wondered if he was a toy, but then she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. Movement that didn't look or sound mechanical.

She approached, trying not to stare. Instead, she smiled at the older blonde girl.

"Hi," Lily greeted. "Your pet is very cute."

Lucy paused, catching Lily's interest out of the corner of her eye. Aw, she was a cutie too - Lucy's smile is more genuine this time as she stopped to face the younger girl. "Ah, Plue? He's not a pet, he's my friend."

She adjusts her grip on the spirit to offer Lily a better look, the nervously trembling little critter glancing first at Lucy, and then Lily, raising a paw in greeting. "P..uweah.." Sup.

Lily's cheeks flushed a bit at her mistake. She'd assumed Plue was a pet because of his size and because he wasn't human or humanoid-shaped, but she'd been wrong. Still, he didn't seem to be annoyed. If anything, the little guy seemed to be very timid in the presence of a stranger. She could understand fear of the unknown, even if she was more excited than frightened by being here.

"Oh...sorry! Hi, Plue. It's very nice to meet you," Lily said, waving in return. "My name is Lily."

It was a common mistake - several mages DO consider Plue's type to be a pet or companion-pet, but not Lucy. She smiled, patting the spirit on the head. Even though he almost always shivered, it was just his way. He was like a perpetually nervous chihuahua.

"It's nice to meet you Lily. That's a really pretty name," Lucy added. "I'm Lucy."
Plue returns Lily's sentiment, by beaming, "Pu-puh-pun~!!"

... we think that's what he's saying anyway.

"What do the two of you like doing for fun around here?" Lily inquired. "Or to relax?"

Relaxation was particularly important, although Lily had noticed that ever since she arrived here, she'd been less anxious. The one time she lost control was when the werewolves were running wild and she got into a fight with one.

"Fun?" Lucy echoed, smiling a little absently. "I'm afraid I haven't really been in the mood for 'fun' since I got here. But I like to read, and spend time with my friends..and I confess I kind of like dancing lately. As for Plue- he seems to like eating candy a lot. What about you, Lily?"

"Well, I've been learning how to sing," said Lily. "It's much more fun than spending all of my time training. I mean, I know training is important so I can protect everyone that can't fight, but..."

Lily was determined to use her powers to protect rather than to kill. Technically, it was still fighting, and it could still be scary, but knowing there was some purpose behind it made all the difference. Though she was only 4'10" and thirteen years old, she spoke like it was a given that she would fight.

"Sing?" Lucy grins, "I'd love to hear you sometime, if you don't mind. And ... you're right. It's important to be able to protect your friends, but it's also important to remember to have fun - especially in times like these - to remind yourself of the things that you fight for, and why you fight for them."

She chuckles in spite of herself, "You know, I think you would have gotten along well with one of my guildmates, Wendy. She's about your age." More or less.

"Okay. I need to learn more songs before I think I'd be ready to sing for anyone but I'd like that."

She had to smile at what Lucy was saying. It sounded nice. Being able to have fun with friends, and to fill her mind with happy memories that would help her fight for people here.

"Is Wendy here?"

Lucy nods, looking pleased at the agreement, though the smile is a bit wistful at the latter question. "No, I'm afraid no. She's still back in our world. Still, I have a lot of my friends with me here. What about you?"

"I don't have anyone from back home here, but I've made some friends already."

Most people had been quite nice to her, really, and those who weren't were still civil. Except for that werewolf incident, but she'd kind of escalated the situation by fighting...

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Lily! But I'm really glad you've made friends here. And I hope you can consider me a friend too." Lucy grins. She'd bet that any of her friends from the guild would be happy to be friends with such a sweet girl too.

Lily didn't mention that there was a high likelihood that her friends might be dead. If the Initiative could go back in time to different worlds, maybe she'd be able to rescue all of them one day. Heine had always been the one with the plan, who tried to protect all of them. Maybe she could repay him for once with a plan of her own.

"I'd like to," she said. "Um...consider you a friend, too, I mean."
