found you [OPEN]
Date & Time: Sept 30 - Oct 6
Location: all over the danged moonbase
Characters: Martin, all sorts of folks
Summary: He's not a lion he can talk to people now
Warnings: BUH...

Martin had barely found his footing on solid ground before it was settled on stranger tiles. Yet stranger things had, and would happen, wouldn't they? He stressed little on his own behalf, only wincing and worrying on behalf of others. His friends...the old and new. He couldn't have warned them, could he? Not with the deal he had made. Simply being around others turned out to not be enough.
And those others...He couldn't wait to see them. To speak to them! To understand, better than what a cat's ears and nose could spell out, how they've endured. The scale and scope of their stay in this place still hadn't wholly formed in his mind, still so used to working step by step, piece by piece.
He wandered, often too brisk, at times distracted by the sights outside, and sought those familiar things out. The nature of the base only frightened him for moments, easily forgotten in the face of what he was really after.

OCTOBER 5
She almost misses him again, turning one corner as she turns another, but she catches enough to pique her interest and give chase, however short it is as she slips around the same corner. ]
Martin?

he turns and looks over his shoulder, eyebrows shooting up with surprise.

Fe-feferi...

You're here! I haven't seen you in forever, where did you go? You made it!
no subject
he gasps a breath, then laughs, lifting what he can of his arms and hugging her in turn.] I was! Looking for you, Feferi!

[ She gives him another squeeze before she backs off a little, to give him an appraising look over. ]
Did you get bigger? You're taller than me! Not counting the horns, anyway.

I...Well, it's...a lot to explain, I think. [his mouth twitches. aha...] But I was here – with everyone, I mean. For a little while. But not like this. [he gestured up and down himself.] I had a different body.

[ There's a bench not too far down a hall, and she brings him there, seating herself and patting the spot next to her. ]
Nothing super exciting though. What about you?
no subject
but he shakes out of it and sits down, fidgeting a little.]
Oh, uhm...well... [WELL...] I, we...Bariyan and I. We vanished. And then...I got called back. And I couldn't be a boy anymore, so I was a lion.
no subject
[ She's pretty sad over that, but what can she do about it? ]
Why couldn't you be a boy? Why did you have to be a lion? Did being a lion make you taller?

[ Why is he so weird! Most humans aren't this weird! ]

I'm something made here, now. In a way. Because people want me to be here.
[he's looking at his hands for a beat. the looks at Fef, eyes wincing, wondering if he's making any sense at all.]

Well, I want you here forever, so you don't ever have to worry about that!
