[Perhaps the refrigerator cycled at the exact same moment that someone started reheating some of that sorry excuse we have for moon food. Maybe at that exact moment, the power grid strained from bringing another section of the base into life supporting function. Maybe at that exact moment ALL OF THOSE THINGS HAPPENED AT ONCE.


Whatever actually happened, the lights flicker and go dark, leaving only the hallway illumination, and your stomach twists as gravity loses a bit of a grip on you.

You're not FLOATING, but neither are you quite as heavy as you used to be.]

[She holds her chest a moment, catching her breath. After it becomes apparent that the man on the floor CLEARLY was not suddenly turned into a space zombie, she holds down a hand to him.]

Yeah, you need a lot of energy to fly. [and he'd leave it at that, except it really is an interesting subject that he feels a lot of people would like to know and there's no Shijima around to shut him up] Ah, but you know, every bird has wings that suit them the most! The longer the wing span, the less energy they need, since they can glide more easily that way. But hummingbirds are different. They can flap their wings up to 100 beats per second, so they're always constantly eating to avoid dying from exhaustion.

He turns to Maya with that done, somehow managing to loom.]

All you need to do is to correctly guess whether the value of a card is higher or lower than the previous card.

So in this case, you have to guess if the obscured card is higher or lower than a seven? Isn't that just a fifty-fifty chance?
