[Perhaps the refrigerator cycled at the exact same moment that someone started reheating some of that sorry excuse we have for moon food. Maybe at that exact moment, the power grid strained from bringing another section of the base into life supporting function. Maybe at that exact moment ALL OF THOSE THINGS HAPPENED AT ONCE.


Whatever actually happened, the lights flicker and go dark, leaving only the hallway illumination, and your stomach twists as gravity loses a bit of a grip on you.

You're not FLOATING, but neither are you quite as heavy as you used to be.]

Not that there's all that much to see yet. But this environment would make my repairs difficult, so maybe this is my cue to take a break.

But I'm probably not the best person to use as a point of comparison. I've had some very strange things happen to me to cause this. In addition to the space station visit, I mean.

I wonder how many dimensions are gravity free... Or upsidedown.


... Or triangleheaded people.

I've seen an upside down chamber.

It was part of a test. My head ached for quite a while afterward.

[He twists and leaps for a fixture, hanging from it.]

I haven't encountered triangle-headed people yet, though. Just green-skinned ones with fangs.

Much prettier than the stereotypical depiction.

You'd be surprised by how attractive so many other species can be.

[He doesn't think about how weird this sounds. He's just had some powerful crushes.]

I've heard there are books about that too...

I've read as many about other worlds as I can find, but that type of thing isn't as common in Exsilium.

You'd think that information would be here on a moon base, but I don't think research ever got too far.

Yeah...

It seems like no one was here before us. There's still parts that seem dangerous to go in.

I'm planning to get some spacesuits so we can repair that.

Yes. We'll need to go outside to finish the work.

I've traveled the stars, but I used to think that was a far away dream as well.

For us to be able to exist here is still amazing, huh?

Honestly, no one's going to believe it when we go home.
