i am a master hunter | OPEN
Date & Time: October 7th, evening.
Location: The VR rooms.
Characters: Gamora & YOU
Summary: Wanting to punch some monsters, Gamora travels to the 90s. This time without broken spines.
Warnings: Standard comic book violence, will edit as needed.
( The scene that Gamora programs into the VR is surprisingly mundane at first glance - a jungle island complete with muggy heat and the sound of the ocean in the distance. Gamora herself looks different - dressed in a fishnet one piece with a V cut into the front down past her navel, black fur cape, and a surprising amount of gold jewelry. It's familiar to her, at least, drawn on what she remembers from her longest stay on Earth previous to her arrival in Exsilium. A castle - thin and almost pathetic looking rather than imposing - rises out of the jungle in the distance and completes the setting.
But Gamora isn't there to dwell on past memories, she's there to keep herself entertained. And what better way to do that than adjust the programming so her physical strength increased to the level it was on Godthrab and let herself loose on Monster Island?
Which is why she's grinning when the first giant creature crashes through the underbrush and she dodges a swipe of a gigantic clawed hand. Low key, good old fashioned physical combat - there really was nothing better. )

But however it works exactly, she quite respects and likes Gamora, and a fight alongside her seems like something she'd enjoy. Ros is totally outmatched, but she's okay with that, and there's a wild sharp edge to her smile. ]
Thanks. [ She'll just have to move very, very fast. ]

Gamora doesn't move for a long second, tensing, before she strikes out - leaping into the air and bringing down the axe down upon the nearest monster. Messy? Absolutely. But Gamora doesn't particularly care, less so when it's simulated. )

Regardless, she moves in after Gamora, dodges the swipe of a - claw of some kind and aims for the heart, spinning away just in time to miss a second blow. ] Do this often?

( There's no point in trying to count them - at least five? Possibly. They seem to blend together after a point and she's not sentimental enough to keep an accurate count. )
Thought I'd go for something a bit different.

What do you normally do in here, then?
no subject
( She's been tempted once or twice to see if it can recreate the Soul World and everything involved with it. But there was always the chance someone could stumble in on that, and Gamora would rather die permanently than risk that. )

[ That sounds. ] Never heard of it.

You wouldn't. It destroyed star systems upon star systems - delivering the final blow to the Skrull Empire as it did so.
( The VR comes into focus again - and this time Gamora and Small are floating in space, larger than life. She'd shown Collette the fall of one planet - up close and personal - this was different. In the distance, a massive moving thing that can only accurately be described as as swarm. There's a planet in front of them, tiny ships leaving the surface in a last ditch attempt to escape.
They won't make it, because the swarm is fast and all consuming, and soon both the planet and the ships are covered, devoured. )
Billions died.

And you fought it?

( Fighting a constant losing battle, winning little victories where they could in the vain hope it'd do something. The start of a long series of desperate gambles to save the universe - Gamora supposes it started a habit none of them could shake. )

[ It doesn't sound like it could have worked, not against that. Nothing particularly looks like it would work against that. ]
