PRE-MISSION MEET AND GREET | Closed
Date & Time: October 6th, noonish
Location: The cafeteria
Characters: Rosette, Chrono, Satella, Break, Kevin, Watari, Tatsumi, Allen Walker, Maya, Link and Tempest
Summary: Pre-Mission meet up and strategy
Warnings: NONE
[For those sitting at the long table in the back, your lunch space is likely disturbed by a nun spreading out multiple schematics and documents. While most of the conversation with her tiny, almost ever present companion is muted, her voices raises with exasperation.]
I like the first one best... but you're right, it's not a two man job.

[For those sitting at the long table in the back, your lunch space is likely disturbed by a nun spreading out multiple schematics and documents. While most of the conversation with her tiny, almost ever present companion is muted, her voices raises with exasperation.]
I like the first one best... but you're right, it's not a two man job.
no subject
How are you feeling?
no subject
B-Better. Sister Rosette has helped.
[Did she tell the demon what happened? That is a little embarrassing to say the least.]
no subject
Good... she was worried.
I should have listened more closely to what you said that day.
[ Chrono won't repeat it, for discretion's sake, but Kevin's admission of being theirs seems like it has more meaning now, rather than being the idle nonsense of a drunken angel. ]
no subject
[Well, the levels of awkwardness are increasing really fast. Kevin wonders if he just looks down at his tea cup the demon will go away. See, he is no longer drinking in public because of Chrono. Scarred for life, this angel is.]
no subject
... Um.
Are you alright?
no subject
[Damnit.]
Do you want cookies? We have decent cookies now.
no subject
[ What just happened. ]
Sure.
I hadn't heard the good cookie news.
no subject
Mister Gilbert and I have been trying to come up with more palatable recipes.
[Because our technologically deprived imaginations have led us to wonder whether the Initiative was recycling the food.]
no subject
I've heard he's a really good cook, actually.
no subject
Y-yes, he is actually an excellent cook.
[He considers snatching the cookies away from him. Don't go corrupting the only sane and normal person in this madhouse, demon.]
no subject
[ He's being an asshole, and he knows it. In this particular case, he doesn't really care. It's harmless.
Pushes the cookies over, pointedly. ]
You should have some, yourself.
no subject
He takes a deep, calming breath. Maturity. He is the superior being here.]
A-alright. I will have...some cookies.
no subject
And maybe some more tea, too. It's good for calming nerves.
no subject
[Besides, only herbal tea is good for calming nerves. Chamomile, lemon balm, valerian, passionflower, blue vervain, motherwort... He remembers painfully well.
Kevin hates herbal tea, for reasons.]
no subject
[ ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE NOT NERVOUS KEVIN. ]
no subject
It is rather unfortunate that the benefits of tea do not include the end of plans that go against the laws of nature.
no subject
'Against the laws of nature'?
no subject
Time should not be tampered with by humans.
no subject
Humans will always do things they aren't supposed to. [ Subjective as that is. ] It's what got them into this mess in the first place.
If there aren't any readily available miracles, they're going to resort to sins. And it might just save lives.
no subject
[See, that is the problem with hell, and he is not taking this conversation personally at all.]
The resurrection of the dead is a rather infrequent miracle, and with good reason. Human beings are supposed to overcome their ordeals and build a better future for themselves, not obsess about changing the past.
[No matter how painful said past is.]
no subject
His hopes of a decent, civil answer are shattered by the ensuing fit of derisive laughter. ]
no subject
This is no laughing matter.
[It is his people who is supposed to remain dead.]
no subject
You're right. People who stand above humanity and want to decide what's right for them without walking beside them are the worst; there's nothing funny about that at all. [ He tries to ignore the cold-burning anger in his gut, and though the tone is pleasant enough, he really wants to shout it to the metal rafters of this (literally) god-forsaken moon base. ]
Down here on the ground, we're going to do our best to create that future you were just talking about, because it doesn't exist otherwise.
no subject
Whether or not Chrono even hears her approach really doesn't matter. He really can't stop this.
WHAM!
She shoves his face into the table.]
How about we work on that plan! Rather than fight about it!
no subject
He doesn't even bother trying to sit up; just stays there, sullen and cowed. He's at least wise enough to realize that this isn't a conversation to have in front of Rosette, anyway. ]
