Date & Time: 15th October, daytime-ish
Location: Airlock and then the mooooon!
Characters: Jan Valentine liprings and Seras Victoria bloodthirsts
Summary: Toph asked for someone to go get her some moon rocks, two vampires volunteered. As it happens they hate each other and comedy ensues.
Warnings: Jan's foul mouth, possible violence with these two

[The exact specifics of the quest she's about not withstanding Seras is quite anticipating doing this. Actually going out on the moon! It's exciting and something so few people have ever been able to do -- at least in her universe, the fact there's a moonbase here suggests it must have been prevalent in this one at one time.

Still, she'll get to indulge her curiousity and help out a little girl.

Not to mention making sure said little girl doesn't have to have anymore exposure to Jan Valentine than she already has. Seras is really starting to feel like his minder.

She reaches to press the button to close the inner door of the airlock which will start the countdown to the outer door opening.]

[Her expression as he barges his way in is a picture. Seras glares at him, indescribably miffed that he's doing this, especially making an effort to get in her way.]

It's not a competition you idiotic ba--

[Unfortunately for her that's when the outer door opens and all the air disappears with it, leaving Seras mouthing the end of her sentence before she catches on. There's a moment of shock on her face before she realises exactly why she can't suddenly talk.

Cue her throwing up her arms in frustration.]

sudden realization that if there's not going to be any dialog... action brackets are pretty useless

There's perhaps a small blessing in the sudden vacuum that swallows Seras's words, that being that Jan's undoubtedly raucous and obnoxious laughter is also silenced. He leaps immediately, nearly as soon as the door is open, springing out onto the surface like a maniacal deer. You look pretty stupid trying to move in 16% gravity, but Jan's had practice enough by now to at least make it effective.

It doesn't stop her glaring at him for it. Seras sets her shoulders and attempts to step out after the other vampire and surprise covers her face again as that one step buoys her out further than she expected, even with the remembering footage of moon landings from the telly. Her arms flail a little until her foot hits rock again and she balances on the point of her foot, rather like a ballerina.

Then she looks around and up and looks suddenly delighted because it's beautiful out here, with the earth looming close by. Even Jan's presence can't ruin that moment of realisation.

She's really here, out on the moon! And the small doubt that her vampire powers wouldn't protect her is swept away in the moment too.
