Date & Time: 10/20; evening
Location: Around the Moonbase
Characters: Cyril Thackary & Open
Summary: Cy returns from a canon update
Warnings: Uh, language maybe?
Format: Prose to start but feel free to do whatever.
Well this was certainly unexpected. Sure, Cy remembered being on the Moonbase but it felt like ages ago when really it had only been four years, by his time, but it certainly felt longer. He was greeted with the whole welcome back spiel that wasn't too dissimilar to his original arrival. In fact, he was just as disorientated now as he was then, only it passed more quickly. After that he wasn't really sure what to do. It'd only been a couple days since he'd vanished back to his home world so everything of his should still be around but he didn't much feel like falling back into old routines. That was...beyond boring.
Instead he began to wander around, looking at things he hadn't really bothered to look at before. While he couldn't quite recall how everything on the base felt and smelled before somehow he felt it was all different. Then again, the whole world was different to him not that he was altered.
He paused in his exploration as that thought hit him...what was he supposed to do about feeding? He highly doubted anyone would be willing to just let him feed off them even if the bite felt good to most. Vitality could be brought from home but he'd been informed that wouldn't be something that could be done very often and he did need to feed at least once a day if he was going to be able to keep from simply killing people. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before shaking his head. He'll have to figure that out soon...
Sometime later Cy can be found in the simulation room training with his weapon. He still doesn't get how it works so he's more focused on his magic, flipping through his Grimoire and wondering if he's going to have enough reagents to last him a while. Occasionally he stopped reading to fiddle with wrench. He'd managed to make it change shape before but now he can't quite remember how he managed that.
((two options there, wandering around the Moonbase and the training rooms))

Training room
A smile touching her lips at the sight of the individual in question flipping through some manner of book. Reminding her of the many times her partner flipped back and forth through his spell books and tomes.
"A bit of light reading?" Nodding to the book as she spoke up after that moment.

He paused on one page and looked up, offering a small smile. "Just a bit. Did you need this space? I could go somewhere else." He was only in here because it was quiet and studying magic tended to be easier when he had full concentration.
no subject
"They do provide a good place to read and study, I've done as much myself on more than one occasion," She turns her attention at that point to the book itself, taking an educated guess, "Would I be correct in assuming that your reading isn't some simple history book?"
no subject
His gaze dropped back down to the book before him. "Oh...yeah, no. It's definitely not a history book." A witch's grimoire was special to the witch and their coven, should they have one. It wasn't something to be shared with everyone, but so long as she didn't come to try and peek a look it'd be okay.

Letting her gaze linger a moment on the book in question as she stepped further into the room, a soft chuckle given to his reply, "Indeed, would I be wrong in assuming that it might be something akin to a spellbook? It reminded me of my partner's own time often spent studying his spells across such spellbooks," a fond smile touching her expression as her thoughts lingered on the elven wizard in question.
no subject
"Well...I only the have the one. Most of us make our own if one isn't handed down to us."
no subject
"Indeed? Aibghalien has more than a few...though he has had quite some time to gather them,"
no subject
He nodded slowly as he ran a hand over the cover of his grimoire. "If we make it ourselves it's more tailored to our own needs. Some magic users use the elements, but a grimoire focused on that would be little use to me since I use blood."
Sorry about the delay
She nods thoughtfully as he explains as much. "Each tailored to the source or use of magic then in that case? That is quite curious, I've seen few indeed that have used blood as the source or focus of their magic," She comments clearly not put off by it though.
Training room
"Oh... beg your pardon, the door was unlocked and I didn't realise anyone was in here."
no subject
It'd just been empty and quiet when he stumbled across it so he figured he'd stay and study, maybe even see about getting his weapon to cooperate. At least if he got into anything that could be dangerous to others he was where he should be for that kind of stuff.

He turned back to Grimiore and turned the page, trying to read over it only to find himself a little distracted by Seras. He hadn't talked with a lot of other transports and he was rather curious about the weapons. "Um, if you don't mind me asking, what's your weapon?" He looked back over toward her, pale purple eyes watching her closely.

"Huh." He gave a thoughtful frown before picking up the metal wrench at his side. "Somehow this is my weapon... I managed to make it change into something else once but now I don't know how." He tossed the wrench up so that it spun a few times in the air before he caught it and set it back down.
no subject
It's a lame quip but she's said it now. "Well, what were you doing at the time it changed before?"
no subject
His lips twist into a frown and a thoughtful look passes over his features before he shook his head. "I don't really remember what I was doing. Which, of course, doesn't help at all." He gave a helpless little laugh and looked back over to Seras. "But I'm sure I'll figure it out...eventually."

"It's probably something I should do, huh? I mean...I do have more than just this weapon that I need to work on." He'd done a bit of sparring back home but that was mostly with his sire or anyone within the Coterie that wanted to let off some steam. Although there'd been plenty of times he'd gone and picked a fight with someone bigger and stronger just to test his limits. He had found his limits were kind of shitty without some training.
Moonbase
She can't complain too much about her stay on the moon so far. Sure, it isn't the most ideal situation (and she would much rather prefer to spend her Sunday back in Massachusetts studying for a Clawculus test), but she is thankful for a place to rest her head at night and food to eat. She's even considering helping out on a mission or two to re-stock the creepateria with meals.
She swallows and bites into her ice cream again, but a piece breaks off and falls to the floor near someone's feet. Abbey isn't the type to litter and walk away, so she begins to speak to the guy before her. "Sorry. Will pick up."
no subject
"How can you eat that?" Like he was really one to ask that, the man that lived off nothing but blood because he could no longer stomach human food. He looked from the sandwich to the girl holding it and paused. An elemental? Well, maybe that was how. They always seemed to like the strangest things.
no subject
To demonstrate, she takes another bite out of her sandwich. People sure ask some obvious questions around here.

She narrowed her eyes when he stepped back from her. That was a little strange. What was it with normies around here? Even though this one was kind of cute, he was still acting like a typical human. In her mind, she thought he must be afraid of her.
no subject
"Uh...huh. Well, I guess someone has to eat the nasty freeze dried crap."
He fell silent for a few moments, looking her over. He wondered how old she really was, given it was so difficult to tell with elementals.
