an unfortunate case of too much elle
Date & Time: 10/20-something it's a crap-shoot
Location: VR room
Characters: Chrono, Blue
Summary: who even let these two in here
Warnings: man idk
[virtual reality deals very much with the mind – as does Blue's natural-born power. it's what keeps him reluctant to try, doubting very heavily in the effectiveness...or worth of the illusions these rooms can provide.
he's had a bad history with mind-altering machines, after all.
yet a strange catharsis hangs around some who enter and leave them, and it's got him curious enough to try. if he's to combat some facet of the technology this world has, he ought to understand at least the more-or-less good ones, right?
if a machine can ever be given some label as good or evil of its own accord.
but let's leave Blue to his grim philosophies on the nature of man and machine in his headspace, while instead acknowledging what pieces of it are projected outside of it.
it's something much more vast than the confined room...and much darker, in ways. deep blue and violet hues, pale marble floors and ceilings...both of which stretch away and into heavy darkness, as if they simply vanish to nothing.
his ship. his room. the bed is even there, lit by pale blue lights.
all that's missing is his usual company, isn't it?]

Chrono finds himself in this pseudo-reality entirely by mistake, because that's how he finds himself in most every situation in his life. But rather than simply bow his way out and depart, he... freezes, eying the odd aesthetics of Blue's fantasy-world.
There are some characteristics to space-faring ships that are universal even across worlds, and though Chrono can't quite put his finger on it, something about this place strikes a deep chord. (Probably, in the end, because he has no idea what that common denominator is.) ]
Ah—
[ His eyes finally land on Blue and he realizes he's standing around in someone else's reminisce, someone else's head in a round-about way. ]
I'm sorry.
