Location: Paris, France.
Characters: Charlie Dyer and Tempest
Summary: Charlie and Tempest go to the past to buy menial stuff, see the sighs and talk. This is not a date okay
Warnings: Posible conversations about depression, self harm, abuse, etc. Your typical emotional Charlie warnings.

Charlie wasn't sure she would ever get used to time traveling, but at least this one time she was doing so because she wanted and with someone else other than her siblings, so it felt relatively better. A lot better, actually. Paris was beautiful in Autumn, too, which helped. The proper precautions had been taken to ensure they didn't materialize in the middle of a big crowd, and soon enough both women had made their way to some cheap yet cozy hotel where they would stay for the next two days. There was much to do, but Charlie was certain they would be able to get it all done and have some time to look around.

Once settled, it was time to get a move on.

[she flips through the rest of the magazine, stopping here and there to read an article title or two] This is a magazine dedicated to music?

Yep, at least m-most of the time.

[ She pics another one. Reader's Digest? Alright. ]

This one...is a bi-bit more varied. More like li-life stories.

[she puts the magazine back and reaches for one of her own, this one called Kilometer Zero]

Like a . . . what is the word, biography?

[ Charlie considers this for a moment. ]

More...an-anecdotal? Several people send th-their stories.

Ohh . . . how strange . . .

[why would anyone send in their life stories, Tempest doesn't get it at all]

Some people...l-like to share?

[ She hands it over to Tempest. ]

I'm bu-buying it, so take a look. [ She then turns to give her a moment and to pick other magazines. ]

[hyanaimne]

[she takes it and looks it over, then puts the one in her hands back. She really has no idea which magazines to take . . . none of them really make sense to her. Who would want to read about any of this?

Although, she spots a magazine on gardening and immediately grabs that. That, at least, seems interesting]

[ Charlie turned around, a Cosmo in her hand.

So she had sisters, okay. And they were fabulous and confident and probably owned enough clothes to dress a small third world nation, so Charlie had had to learn about fashion or be forever alienated...not that she didn't end up alienated anyway.

The sight of the gardening magazine drew a soft chuckle out of her though. ]

Figures. We can g-get more of those, too.

[hyanaimne]

[Tempest gives Charlie a wry look, holding up the magazine] Probably the only thing I can ever hope to understand.

[falla]

[ Charlie snorts. ]

You're s-selling yourself short. If we're getting plants though, y-you might want more of th-these.

[hyanaimne]

I am simply speaking the truth. But why would I need more?

[falla]

There are...l-lots of plants?

[ Cute shrug? ]

[Tempest blinks, then shrugs and picks up a similar magazine]

I suppose you are right.

[falla]

[ More cute shrugs. ]
