Location: Paris, France.
Characters: Charlie Dyer and Tempest
Summary: Charlie and Tempest go to the past to buy menial stuff, see the sighs and talk. This is not a date okay
Warnings: Posible conversations about depression, self harm, abuse, etc. Your typical emotional Charlie warnings.

Charlie wasn't sure she would ever get used to time traveling, but at least this one time she was doing so because she wanted and with someone else other than her siblings, so it felt relatively better. A lot better, actually. Paris was beautiful in Autumn, too, which helped. The proper precautions had been taken to ensure they didn't materialize in the middle of a big crowd, and soon enough both women had made their way to some cheap yet cozy hotel where they would stay for the next two days. There was much to do, but Charlie was certain they would be able to get it all done and have some time to look around.

Once settled, it was time to get a move on.

It was not too bad. Though I prefer villages, myself.

N-not one for crowds.

[ It's not a question. ]

I can relate.

Mmm. Crowds are good for getting lost in - but that is about it.

[something she's very good at, actually, but she doesn't have to do that here, thankfully]

Yeah...

[ It's not so fun when the crowd is pointing you out. ]

Can't y-you like, sense where can we f-find plants? [ Because Charlie seriously sucks at this. ]

[hyanaimne]

[Tempest glances over at her, then gestures up ahead]

There is one farther down. [it's a bit too far to see, of course, but she can feel it]

Okay, let's go.

[ There wasn't much else to say, and soon enough they were entering the shop in question. It wasn't only a flower shop, which Charlie supposed was a good thing, since they could probably get a bunch of different seeds from there. ]

So, w-what do you want?

[hyanaimne]

[it's the same face she's been making all day - that face where she has never seen anything like this and she's absolutely amazed. Tempest reaches out, almost touching a bouquet before drawing her hand back when Charlie speaks up]

A-Ah - I do not know?

[falla]

Oh, okay.

[ Charlie nods and turns, a little smirk in her face. ]

Take your t-time, you can touch them an-and all. I'll look for things we can g-grow.

[hyanaimne]

[Tempest just hums in agreement and wanders deeper into the store. She's not nearly as bad about this sort of thing as some people in her village were, but she can still appreciate a flower here and there.

Is what she tells herself, really, because lbr she loves plants]

[ Charlie goes to the other way of the store and begins to look through grains. She's more or less aware of the fact it's probably illegal to travel around with crops or stuff like that, so she'll have to cook up some weird farming excuse to the owner if she wants to get all that she needs.

This won't stop her from looking over Tempest now and then. She's not a little girl, but Charlie doesn't want to lose sight of her anyway. ]

[hyanaimne]

[meanwhile, Tempest has found where all the potted plants are displayed. Despite how happy she is to find them, her expression is serious as she starts . . . inspecting them. Really, more to find one that'll survive longer than the others, but to anyone watching she either looks like she knows what she's doing or like some weird foreigner]

[falla]

[ Around twenty minutes pass until Charlie gets back to her, a couple of bags being carried by the counter. She made a fairly good deal in her opinion. ]

I've got th-the seeds. Found anything you like?

[hyanaimne]

[Tempest glances over her shoulder at Charlie, briefly, before turning her attention back to the plants in front of her. She reaches out again, gently touching the petals of an iris flower]

Irises are easy to tend to . . . something like this would survive on the moon with care, yes?
