the reds go in with the whites right
Date & Time: Sometime between Caesar's vision returning and the day before Moonbasegiving.
Location: Los Angeles, the '90s
Characters: Caesar & Collette
Summary: After his vision finally returns, Caesar declares he's sick of this place and finally goes on a mission. Laundry mission. Doing a lot of laundry, in real laundry machines, and chilling in LA for a few days while at it.
Warnings: dumb teens
[ Los Angeles! Laundry! A few days off from a horrifying moon base to do burn resources on something incredibly mundane, but wow, won't it be nice to have actually clean sheets and towels (and whatever else) that weren't washed in a shower that only runs for five minutes?
Yeah. Thought so. ]

How can a girl be such a pervert...?
[ He wonders aloud, even if, again, he's sure he knows the answer. She simply is. Ah, but she handed it over for editing, and so that's exactly what he'll do! ]
Several of these words are redundant up here. [ Circling 'nipping' and 'nibbling', as well as 'stroking' and 'caressing'! ] While this here?
[ Circling the whole line starting from 'including, but not limited to' up until 'as vouched for by'. ]
The second list makes no sense tacked on like that, since you already included what can be done towards these situations above. Also, I take offense at noogies. You need to leave the noogies out.
[ He says all of this in his incredibly bored tone, too! This is super serious, Collette, they need to take it seriously! It's editing! ]

So of course, while he's likely correct, and this is further evidence that she will never be one for writing contracts, certificates, or pretty much anything official ever, Collette's not fussed either which way.
She's just totally reaching out and pulling him into a (light) noogie! )
What, you mean these?
( She asks with a laugh. Please, be brought to bosom level somehow here okay. )
no subject
But, yeah, if that's where she drags his head to, then that's where it'll be while he's caught in her arms for the noogie! Light as it is, he still gives a startled amount of flail, but only enough suitable to show he's mildly displeased with this all! ]
Hey! You knew exactly what I meant! [ Exclaimed while he definitely tries to keep from faceplanting into, you know, boobs. ] Fiendish woman!
no subject
Your fiendish woman, maybe! Pretty sure I qualify as "strange optimistic girl" for just about everyone else.
( Something she sounds entirely okay with, even as she loosens her hold to allow him to try to regain his ah, what's the word, his dignity, or unwittingly open herself up for retribution.
You know, either or. )
I think the noogies are fun! Bonding through knuckle grinding your head! I need some way to push that ego back in, it really threatens to go all out there sometimes!

He struggles a second or two to right himself again, instead of remain dragged down and pulled against her like she'd done when she had caught him in that little noogie attack. Once up, he'll poke her in the chest with the ballpoint pen. ]
I could always show everyone your terrible certificate. I'd finally have proof for once of how entirely not innocent you really are! [ Because goodness knows how many people think she's some sweet and delicate flower! ] But that might end up embarrassing me instead, so consider yourself lucky.
[ He looks down at the paper in question again.
His next words aren't quite so full of mock offense, though. More like uncertain curiosity. ]
You actually want to do this kind of stuff?
no subject
Collette blushes, more of a slow warmth spreading over her face, creeping down her neck. It's the uncertainty in his question that does it, him asking like he wants to know, and she's not entirely sure what to make of it. Teasing is well and good, and honest teasing over things she thought she did want to do was a little bit of a guilty pleasure, but it's still embarrassing.
Her smile's somewhere between playful and unsure as she admits: )
Yeah, I do. I think so? I mean, not all at once, I don't think that's actually even possible, but, um! Do you... not? With me?
( It's more than just handling her as a help with stretches. Getting further down that list, or following it to her making love conclusion, meant putting out effort on his part as well as hers. It meant needing to be hands on, which she hardly minded, but hands on and helpful at once, and she's suddenly less than sure if he really -- wants any of that.
It's difficult being a teenager. She's not even sure how to joke about this, caught between a very real desire (hormones, she decides, do suck for concentration) and a very real uncertainty born out of not knowing what to expect. )
no subject
[ Which is the funny part, so he focuses on that first. Of course it's not possible! It would take, like, mutiple... thems... and... wow, okay, he actually doesn't want to consider all of that (especially since clones are apparently a thing now).
Right.
He intends to keep looking down at that little piece of paper, even though he's not really paying attention to the words. Any other topic and he wouldn't have to worry about being flustered, but this...! ]
Do you even need to ask? I am a man, you know. [ That's right. A manly man.
except not but shh.] It's not as though it hasn't crossed my mind before, especially since the castle.no subject
( No, wait, Collette don't sound so pleased! Or interested, even though she's both. Her hands come up and she fiddles with her hair of all things, working her fingers through it and undoing what was left of her braid. It settles around and over her shoulders, a dark cloud of hair she collects toward the shoulder further away from Caesar. )
So what exactly does a man think about all of this, hmm? I'm suddenly really interested to hear, especially if it's been crossing your mind.
( She runs her tongue out over her lips, a quick movement that leaves her biting down on her lip for a moment. She frees her hands from her hair, reaching out and settling a palm on his thigh, closer to his torso than his knee.
She's not sure if she likes the way her stomach flips, equal parts nerves and something far warmer, but she lets that mixture color the mischief in her tone of voice. )
Or were you waiting on me to make the first move?
( Again. Not that she minds. She rather enjoys getting to be the bold one. )
no subject
[ He's thought about it on occasion, but not ever at much length! Which probably explains why he's made no move at all (especially because of the moon part). The hand on his thigh makes him look up from the ridiculous 'certificate'.
It's been an endeavor so far to not get too red-faced over this, but by now, he's definitely failing. ]
But... yeah. Kind of. I had no idea how to approach it, so I simply decided to leave it up to you.
no subject
( She wants it to sound like a tease, and so it is -- with a light squeeze of his thigh, shifting to lean his way -- but it's not without an apparent blush on her own face, extending down her neck, to the top of her hidden chest. Her heart rate picks up, breathing quickening, more hilarious for the fact nothing's actually happened. )
We're not on the moon base now, C.
( Shy's not really her style, but that's a better description of her smile at the moment than most others. Shy, and about her kind of inviting, watching him through her lashes. )
no subject
[ Of course. That shouldn't be a big shocker, not with the way the discussions was heading already. He takes a few seconds longer to consider it, before first clearing his throat in a (slightly) nervous cough and setting the paper aside.
He leans closer as well, bringing his free hand up to brush fingertips against the side of her face before settling them further up in her hair and resting the palm against the side instead.
It may have been a prelude to a kiss, however, once he actually is close enough for one, he stops. ]
There is one little problem, however.
no subject
You're not going to say we need to get back to the party, are you?
( She makes the joke, harkening back to the same celebration that had started him thinking about things, for all it'd set a whole series of other things in motion Collette hadn't particularly cared for. )
no subject
No. Just that the bed is still entirely covered in laundry. I don't want to have to refold any of this...
no subject
Then I suggest you figure out what's easier to move!
no subject
Then it looks like I'm moving the clothes. Those aren't as grabby as you are.
no subject
( She quips with a laugh, leaning back and turning to the opposite side. She slides a hand under what's folded there, several sheets from the look of it, and clamps her other hand on top.
Wordlessly, she tries not to smile with too much amusement when she hands over her folded laundry. )
