I feel like I can take on the whole Empire myself!
Date: Various; post-zombie
Location: Various
Characters: Luke Skywalker, open.
Summary: Being a fairly friendly guy and preparing for the mini-rebellion.
Warnings: NAIVE IDEALISM
A. Corridors between the Ag-Wing and Housing
[The first thing he'd done after the zombie attack was catch up on sleep. The second was to get back out on the job. The weapons fire hadn't exactly been kind to the hallways or to some of the systems, so someone had to jury-rig them back into something resembling order. The cleaning was the easy part - making sure the knocked out lights and holes in the wall were patched up was more difficult. After all, it wasn't like they had a giant surplus of spare parts lying around.
Good thing he's used to working less.
He can be found trying to weld a ragged patch over some bullet holes. He might also have a bit too much wiring and spare odds and ends in his toolbox than is strictly necessary for the job's he's doing.]
B. The Observatory
[Even Luke needs a break sometimes. He finds a spot in the observatory where he can watch the stars and settles in to relax for a bit. After a few moments, he pulls a small, model-sized X-Wing out of his pocket and uses his hand to take it through a few random maneuvers before he gives a little snort, a shake of his head and stuffs it back in his pocket. He has a lot to think about. Especially considering what he's about to do. Mostly to himself, but half to anyone in the room, he speaks up.]
None of those stars look familiar. It's strange....

It's really a mess, isn't it?

Tell me about it. Especially with supplies this tight...
[He glances back at Billy, then down at his work.]
I'm Luke.

B - I could use more naive idealism ^^
We are seeing them from a different angel. Looking up at them from the planet they would appear to be in different places than they do from the moon.

[Luke glances up with a shrug.]
...they're not even like the one's from my home. They're all in different places and the constellations are different. We're in a whole other galaxy.

[A page in the book was flipped to, then another, as just what that term meant was searched for. Millions of light years away there could be other people and worlds? It did explain why there were so many unique individuals here.]
To think space is so large... It must be even more odd for you to be trapped here on our moon, away from even the planet you knew.

B-cause every idealist needs a bit of crushing y/y?
Maul took to wandering - keeping an interested ear out on what he could hear and an eye out for what he could read - after the 'calm' came. If he was to fight for this mess then he desired to know precisely who and what he was fighting for and against. Just in case he thought his 'loyalties' would be better placed elsewhere.
However, a presence in the Force yanked him from his wandering and toward the Observatory. Powerful, he thinks. More powerful than Master Sidious. That was impressive.
Oh, don't mind him. Staring at you from across the room. ]
aw snap
He has his lightsaber on his belt, but he doesn't reach for it.
Not yet, anyway.]

The Iridonian steps forward a bit with a slight tug at the corner of one side of his lips. He was not cloaked. The damaged saberstaff that now looked like a regular single-blade hung from his own belt easy to see. ]
What could that mean, I wonder. [ Sarcasm, clearly. Although the tone doesn't betray it. ]

Then she sees Luke in the observatory. He seems to be lost in his own thoughts, but Eilonwy does not notice. ]
You!

But people do not always act upon what they know, but what they feel, and she can't help but be a little mad. ]
Well?

[ When did she even show up, who knows. But in any case Apollo is here in the Observatory too, pretty much hovering over his shoulder right now because what are manners. She had seen him play with the little model and heard him thinking out loud, so she took that as opening enough to speak up herself. ]
I ain't a spacey science freak or anything but I've slept out in the wilderness enough to notice patterns and shit. [ A beat. ] What was that little thing you had just now?

[Luke glances up. He's a bit startled, but he's also used to not having a whole lot of privacy. He tilts his head back so he can get a better look at her.]
What, this?
[He digs the tiny X-wing out and holds it up. It actually looks like it has heft to it.]
It's an X-Wing. Well, a model of one, anyway. They gave it to me when I got here.

[ She looks friendly enough, disrespect for privacy and personal space aside. Trinkets tend to intrigue her, so she smiles and leans in a bit closer to inspect it, going so far as to give it a poke. ]

b; /slides in here all mutineer-like.
At least the observatory is a pleasant enough place to walk and stew in her own thoughts. She almost doesn't notice she's not alone until the young man speaks, catching her attention.]
Do you spend a lot of time looking at the stars where you're from?
no subject
Kind of. I do a lot of space travel, so... you get a chance to see a lot of them.
no subject
[That sort of thing should have ceased startling her by now, but it's still such a foreign notion...despite living on the moon herself now. After a moment, though, she shakes his head and smiles.]
Sorry. I'm not used to hearing about that kind of thing. I'm afraid I'm rather behind the times compared to many of the people here.

When he speaks, Finn pops out.]
Well, we're on the moon! I mean, probably you're used to seeing junk from earth and stuff. And in different times. And places. And stuff. So.

[What was that? If Luke looks, he will find a smallish, quill-covered blue... person in red sneakers speaking in his direction. He takes a few more steps, looking upward in the dim reddish glow of darkvision lighting.]
'S close, but no cigar... I guess this means you're not from an Earth at all, huh?
laaaate, sorry
Nope. Never heard of it until I came here.
It's all good. ^_^
