Date & Time: Nov. 19th - ??? at least several days, tbd
Location: Empty housing in the West Wing.
Characters: Arrested mutineers & visitors (potentially YOU)
Summary: Everyone locked up some mutineers so now they're slightly stuck in place.
Warnings: there will probably be discussion of violence and death, will add if necessary.

[ Mutineers have been put in some of the empty rooms in the West Wing, one guard at a time on the hallway and the doors only able to be opened from the outside for now. Roslyn and whoever else she can get to volunteer are rotating guard duty.

They have been set four to a room for the moment.

Cell 1: Charlie, Connor, Max, and very briefly Sev
Cell 2: Chloe, Marie, Tempest, Bond
Cell 3: Sev (after not long at all)
Cell 4: Jesse (after taking Tempest's powers)

Visitors are allowed, but please note that anyone who had at any point been advocating violence against the mutineers in a place where Roslyn is likely to have seen it will absolutely not be allowed near them. Visits will be supervised and in a separate room from the cells for the sake of privacy, with the door open and a guard within easy eyesight and earshot of any raised voices.

Mutineers will start without access to their tablets but will regain access within approximately a day to two days. However! These tablets will be temporarily unable to encrypt messages. Private messages to personal inboxes are still accessible but on the network itself all their interaction must be public.

Guards on Duty: Roslyn, Riku, Raiden, Wesley Mitchell, Travis Marks, Seras Victoria, Caspian. Working on 6 hour rotations, so each guard is on approximately once every 1 1/2 days.

Might agree with you if not for what I watched play out in the transporter room. ['Watched' being the key word there because after everything they'd done to press for a response, the whole thing ended with them calling in someone else to give a simple answer.]

[Around that time Maria was probably wrapped up and seething.]

[Chloe scoffs-- and while it might sound like something close to a laugh, she's not even close to smiling.]

Only if you feel like being angrier.

If I shied away from anger, I would never have been motivated to join you.

Fair enough. [She doesn't need much more of an excuse than that to sit upright, tucking her legs beneath her so that her voice doesn't just bump right off the bottom of the bunk above her.]

Koltira-- friend of mine. Was, anyway. [for how long he'll stay that after what was done is anyone's guess.]-- broke the door down once he'd killed Sev. Went for my gun, I shot him a few times, he backed off...

And suddenly it was silent as anything. After all the arguments we'd made on the network, all the points we'd pressed into everyone's hands, they clearly had no idea what we were on about. Stood around after Charlie demanded amnesty-- or at least a fair trial-- till they could call in someone else to make a decision for them.

[Maria is silent for a long moment. For all that she thought she was past surprise, she finds she's stunned.]

Dear God. I thought they just didn't see, but it's more than that. They want to be blind.

Puts things right in perspective, I'd say. [The why is the part of it that Chloe can't pinpoint, can't understand enough to lock down, and it only serves to add more frustration to the mix.] And it also means that we're all a few short steps away from being screwed.

Extremely short. And I doubt there's anything we can do about it here. If we weren't on the damned moon... [She shakes her head.] There's nowhere to go even if we could escape.

There wasn't back on earth, either. [Though she's fairly certain they could've hidden out in the ruins of the city if they were willing to consider absolute seclusion -- or at least cessation-- as an acceptable outcome.]

I suppose not. They did drag up even those of us who chose to remain on Earth, after all.

Did they really. [This is news: she knew about getting dragged back from missions, but the rest...] Were you one of them?

I was. I didn't understand what was happening until it was too late—and then I found myself up here, and watched as all those people died down below.

Jesus. [Chloe drops back against the wall, hands limply resting against her thighs. It's infuriating to think on, more so to know that most of the transports on the ship still think that blindly following the Initiative's lead is the way to go-- if only for the sake of 'unity'.]

It should never have gotten this bad.

I'm starting to think it's always been this bad.

[A decaying society, leadership that's rotting from the inside, to match the land they'd been living on.]

We just didn't see that until it was too late.

We couldn't have done anything about it even if that was the case. They had tight security, solid tech, better guards.... [A ragtag team like them?] We'd never have made it past the front door.

I don't know if I should feel glad that we got farther here or disgusting that the whole thing was so futile. Maybe a little of both.

Both. Definitely both. [and it's a bitter, bitter smile that she's wearing for it.]

Lovely. [Chloe huffs out a low breath; something vaguely related to a laugh.] Look I know we're not exactly thick as thieves yet, but we're in this together, yeah?

If you need anything, you let me know.

We're allies now, at least. We have been since I cast my lot in with you all. That won't change just because we failed.

[She gives Chloe a small smile.]

And the same to you, though I'm not sure what I could give you.

Allies are all well and good but you can't tell dark and dirty secrets to the bastard watching your six now can you?

Tell me something interesting every now and then and I'll consider us even-- and hopefully more than just 'allies'.

I seldom tell anyone.

[Not that her secrets are as dark or dirty as some, she imagines. But she does have them. They all do.]

It may depend on what you find interesting, but I'll agree to that.
