(openish | prison log) lock our eyes on distant horizons

Date & Time: Nov. 19th - ??? at least several days, tbd
Location: Empty housing in the West Wing.
Characters: Arrested mutineers & visitors (potentially YOU)
Summary: Everyone locked up some mutineers so now they're slightly stuck in place.
Warnings: there will probably be discussion of violence and death, will add if necessary.

[ Mutineers have been put in some of the empty rooms in the West Wing, one guard at a time on the hallway and the doors only able to be opened from the outside for now. Roslyn and whoever else she can get to volunteer are rotating guard duty.

They have been set four to a room for the moment.

Cell 1: Charlie, Connor, Max, and very briefly Sev
Cell 2: Chloe, Marie, Tempest, Bond
Cell 3: Sev (after not long at all)
Cell 4: Jesse (after taking Tempest's powers)

Visitors are allowed, but please note that anyone who had at any point been advocating violence against the mutineers in a place where Roslyn is likely to have seen it will absolutely not be allowed near them. Visits will be supervised and in a separate room from the cells for the sake of privacy, with the door open and a guard within easy eyesight  and earshot of any raised voices. 

Mutineers will start without access to their tablets but will regain access within approximately a day to two days. However! These tablets will be temporarily unable to encrypt messages. Private messages to personal inboxes are still accessible but on the network itself all their interaction must be public.

Guards on Duty: Roslyn, Riku, Raiden, Wesley Mitchell, Travis Marks, Seras Victoria, Caspian. Working on 6 hour rotations, so each guard is on approximately once every 1 1/2 days.

Her feet shift, she looks elsewhere. ] It's not a big deal. You guys have it way worse than I do.

[Chloe's eyes are trained to scan for tells: sorry Syllona, she's not letting you off the hook.]

...what's going on out there? Is someone threatening you?

Threatening me? No way, nobody knows... [ Syllona flicks a glance in the guards direction. Right. Still, she swallows thickly, eyes dropping to some speck on the floor and mumbling. ]

S'not like that.

Then what is it like, exactly? [Chloe drops her voice, eyeing the doorway.]

[lexiconning]

Nothing.

[ But obviously its something, and a second later she's got one hand on her head, slowly letting out a breath. She doesn't wanna think about this. ] I'm mad at a friend, that's... That's all.

[totallytrustworthy]

Oh. [Chloe relaxes a bit at that: friend issues aren't usually life threatening affairs. Usually. ]

He-- [ The seconds tick by, Syllona tucks her head a little. ] Nothing I shouldn't have saw coming.

Look--C-Chloe--its fine, I wanna know more about what you think is gonna happen to you.

Darling I don't know-- you on the other hand seem to know exactly what's keeping you fenced in.

But...

[ She brings her eyes up to meet Chloe's, almost pleading but Syllona's not sure for what. The pain is still so fresh, she can feel the beginnings of an explanation sticking to her throat, already knows where to start, but this is someone she's only met days ago. Is this a good idea? ]

Hey. Easy. [Chloe's voice is low, soothing-- touched with all the right sort of signals for genuine concern.] Whatever it is, it won't leave this room if you don't want it to.

[ Her eyes squeeze shut and she turns away. It looks like she might be planning to leave, but then: ] He... Stopped me. Thought I was involved.

--'he' [It takes a considerable amount of effort for her to keep anger out of her expression; if someone's threatening Syllona...] what, your friend?

Yeah. It - its hard to explain, okay? I was in the halls and, and when I ran into him... he. Took me to my room. [ A rub at her neck. Everything after 'took' has a tight quality to it, said through clenched teeth. ]

[Well that's not a red flag now is it?] And how did he take you there, exactly?

[lexiconning]

[ Looong pause. ] He made me.

and then I couldn't sleep so....

If it was Jesse, I swear-- [ because these days it seems like everyone's 'friend' is Jesse. At least when it comes to things going wrong.]

[ And that has her snapping back around to look at Chloe, because wha?? ] Jesse...who?

No one. Never mind. Just-- [Chloe waves it off dismissively.] just go on.

Has he done anything else, aside from escort you there?

[ Uh-huh, she's not buying it. And seeing as the next question makes her flinch... ] Who's Jesse?

[totallytrustworthy]

Someone who's not been kind to the other mutineers. Aside from that I haven't got a clue.

[Not an entire truth, but then again, not entirely a lie either. ] So let's not derail entirely here.

[lexiconning]

[ She hums an uncertain, unhappy noise; arms crossed. ] There's nothing else to tell. He made me go with him and dropped me off at my room.

And that's it? [It's not that Chloe thinks she's trying to deceive her, but god knows there've been enough half truths and 'he was my friend's floating about this past week: she's not taking any chances.]

Yeah. Y-yeah, why do you keep asking?

Because so far 'that's it' hasn't actually been when it comes to these sorts of things. Not lately.
