[With everything that's been going on, it was good to let off a little stress. A good way to do this, of course, was by beating the crap out of each other.]

[Which exactly what Kallen and Zelos had chosen to spend a rare day off. The VR room, after picking a random setting, ended looking close to the Grand Canyon around sunset. They were currently at the top of one of the flattop cliffs, battling it off in a simple no-power spar.]

[Or rather at this moment, Zelos getting knocked back by one Kallen's hits and hitting the ground (fortunately, not too close to the canyon's edge). He grimaces when he hits the hard surface, but seems mostly okay as he pulls himself up]

Ouch...jeez Kallen! Are you trying to throw me off a cliff?

[reunites]

[The illusion around them shatters, abruptly, when a door opens apparently out of nowhere. Lloyd steps through, and immediately stops in his tracks.

It's the first time he's seen the VR rooms in use. It's incredible to him how realistic it all is -- hard to believe he didn't just step off the base.

He's enraptured enough that he allows the door to close behind him, before he realizes just what is happening and just who is here.]

Oh! [He comes back to himself abruptly. His gaze bounces from Zelos to Kallen and back again.] Sorry, it was open. I'll, uh--

[He reaches behind him, into what is now just empty space.]

-- Come on, really? What the heck, it was just here....

[fucking moon technology]

How is falling off a cliff good flyin-

[Annnnnd everything comes to a screeching halt in his brain when he catches sight of just who came in here. Dammit. And he was in here to chill out, not deal with things] - Lloyd.

[He quickly moves to get up, brushing himself off. At least Lloyd seems to be leaving at the sight of him and-]

- Seriously? You made the door go away?

[ardor]

[The change is atmosphere is almost instantaneous. The sudden frigidity of Zelos... the extreme uncertainty from Lloyd... It's nothing at all like the UST the pair displayed in Paradisa during her time there. Okay, maybe it's there a little bit.

Kallen clears her throat to remind them that she is, in fact, still there as well.]

Well, it is supposed to be a realistic setting. I doubt many canyons like that have random doors scattered around.

[reunites]

[Lloyd bristles, embarrassed at not being able to work the system.]

I didn't do it on purpose. Besides, that's stupid anyway, how are you supposed to get out when you're done?

[wilder]

[He crosses his arms!]

Well! There's...usually a door when I wanna leave!

[Never gonna admit he barely knows how to work it either]

[ardor]

[Well this... might be interesting. Kallen casually stretches her arms before sitting down on the ground and crossing her legs, eyes still on the other two. Silence might be good for now.]

[reunites]

Well, there's not one now! [How did this even happen.] So unless you're gonna make another one show up, I'm just going to have to be here until you guys are done.

[wilder]

[...Crap.]

Well...try walking through where the door was! Maybe it'll appear!

[reunites]

You're kidding, right? I'm not gonna walk around in circles hoping a door shows up.

['just because you don't want to see me,' is the sentiment tagged on to the end. He'd say it if they were alone, but this girl seems like she's probably Zelos' friend. He's not going to muck that up with the bad blood between them, at least not intentionally.]

[wilder]

What? You'd rather just stand around here all day?

[Yeah, because there is absolutely no way she can pick up on the bad blood vibes going on here what so ever. No siree]

[reunites]

[Lloyd shrugs. Zelos is the one who doesn't want to see him, not the other way around.

He said he wasn't going to let Zelos ignore him. Might as well make good on the promise.]

I don't care. I can watch. I won't get in the way or anything.

[His expression isn't quite so casual, though. If Zelos (or Kallen) wants to throw him out, now would be the time to have door-summoning abilities.]

[wilder]

[Oh trust me, if he knew how to summon a door he would've already. Frustration crosses his face, but he bites back any outburst. Lloyd looking at him like that always made him feel uneasy. But hey, gonna attempt to not dump all his baggage in front of Kallen]

....Whatever.

[He'll look over at Kallen]

Kallen, you wanna keep sparring?

[ardor]

Not right now, really. We've been at it for a while, so a break can't hurt.

[She looks over to Lloyd now.] I'm Kallen, if you hadn't figured that out.

[reunites]

[Lloyd smiles at her easily, despite all the tension he dragged into the room.]

Yeah, it's nice to meet you! I'm Lloyd. Sorry, next time I'll knock or something, I guess.

[He really is sorry for interrupting, he knows how easy it can be to break concentration.

(Well, it can be for him.)]

[wilder]

[Kallen. You suck. But he'll try to play along as he folds his arms across his chest]

Alright.

[But really. You suck. He should get that Sokka guy to tell you just that]

[ardor]

You too, Lloyd. Don't worry about it, things happen.

[He receives a half smile before she scowls over at Zelos.]

Unless you want to be thrown off a cliff now?

[reunites]

[Lloyd looks nervously over at the edge of the cliff. He knows Zelos has wings, and assumes he can use them as well as Colette can, but that's still...]

I mean, it's not like it's a real drop, right? Even if it's realistic, it can't be that realistic.

[Right?

Right?

guys this isn't how sparring works.]

[wilder]

[He gives a little huff at Kallen before he sits down on a rock. Okay no pushing him off the cliff. Look he'll even answer Lloyd!]

....I don't know, I've never checked.

[ardor]

We'll check next time. For now, I wonder if we can change the appearance when we're inside...

[She glances up at the "sky" and purses her lips.]

Maybe someplace more comfortable.

[reunites]

[Lloyd looks confused. Maybe there's no one in this place that fully understands these rooms.

That makes him feel a little bit better.]

Can't you just change it the same way you did the first time?
