[Carol's been pretty anxious these past few days. Being on this moon base has been nothing but trouble, what with monsters, mutinies, and now they just might be able to go back to Earth. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't looking forward to it - but what would they be returning to? Could they return or would they continue to be stuck up here?

She hated all these unanswered questions, but she didn't have anyone to talk to about it. So after failed attempts to distract herself (including trying to cook dinner for herself), Carol is about to head to the cafeteria when she stops at her neighbor's door. It really would be nice to have some kind of company, and the last time they talked, Rise was really nice to her.

...Without letting herself think too long about it, she knocks at the door.]

Miss Rise? Miss Rise, are you in?

[It's really lucky for Carol that Rise does, in fact, happen to be in tonight! And Nanami isn't anywhere to be found at the moment, which can only improve things for the poor girl. New friends of Rise's should be exposed to Nanami only sparingly, at first. Even though Rise's convinced she's a lot nicer than a lot of people think.

The door opens fairly quickly, and Rise's all smiles as she pokes her head out to see her young visitor.]

Carol-san, hi~!

[She seems to consider the girl very carefully. Wondering if she's doing alright. Rise hadn't been here for any of the recent events, but she's heard about them...]

Would you like to come in?

[She opens the door wider and steps aside, giving Carol room to come inside if she wants. Just like last time Carol saw her, Rise is all dressed up in a pretty, frilly dress and matching hair bows. Even just alone in her own room, sometimes she likes feeling as cute as possible!]

[Carol gives Rise a shy smile, but in her mind she's marveling at how pretty Rise is. She feels a little embarrassed that she's wearing her usual dress, not that she really has other clothes.

It doesn't last long though. Carol's relieved at the invitation, and steps inside.]

Hello, miss Rise! Were you about to head out?

[Poor Carol. If Rise had any idea the young girl had any trouble realizing how cute she is, she'd get to work on fixing that right away!]

Oh... not really! I just like to look cute!

[She winks at the younger girl and closes the door once Carol's inside.]

And you can just call me Rise!

[She gives her friendliest smile while sitting on the edge of one of the beds, arranging her skirts properly. One thing about her recent changes in fashion choices is the higher level of maintenance involved when she really dresses up...]

Well, you do look very cute mi - er, Rise.

[Carol will find a spot to sit down, smoothing out her dress before sitting.]

How have you been, anyway? You know, with everything that's happened so far.

[Awww, Carol...!]

Thanks! I think you look really cute too, Carol-chan~! ♥

[She genuinely does, too! But she can kind of tell Carol's a little on the awkward side. Maybe not as much as Rise herself used to be, at that age, but it's still familiar.

Wherever Carol sits, Rise will lean just a little bit closer, with a friendly, encouraging smile. Which falters only a little bit at Carol's question.]

... I'm okay. I've been going on a lot of missions, so... I think I probably missed some stuff...

[She knows very well what she missed, but she's not sure how much Carol had to deal with. So she starts to look a bit concerned.]

Have you been alright?

M-me? Oh, well, I'm not sure...

[She blushes a little. And unfortunately, she's dealt with a lot this past month. Carol's endured everything Exsilium's had to throw at her, some of it she's still having a hard time really dealing with.]

A-and I've been all right! It's been a troublesome month, hasn't it? Were you around for when those monsters attacked?

[Poor girl. Rise's dodged a lot of the craziness this month, but she's certainly been through enough in her time here to know how bad things can get.]

No... but I heard about it when I got back. Were you stuck here?

[She looks almost worried now, as she hopes Carol didn't get hurt or anything while she was gone. She wouldn't have been able to do anything about it anyway, of course, but she'd still feel terrible for not being here...]

[Carol nods.]

Yes, I was. It got pretty scary, but Mr. Christopher was around during those times so I got through most of it.

Mr. Christopher...?

[Rise doesn't know who that is, but it sounds like he was protecting her. She doesn't even want to think about what could have happened to Carol if she were all alone the whole time!]

That's good... I mean, I'm really glad you're okay!

[She's not sure what else to say. Part of her wishes she could have been here to look out for Carol... another part is convinced there's nothing she would have been able to do, anyway. Eventually, she settles on wishing Carol could have been safe with her on the mission...]
