Saul doesn't think it's a lame response. In fact, he nods in agreement — emphatically, even. Yes; they should be helping people. Their original purpose — original public purpose — is lost. With no information to convey, all they're left to do is greet people.

Who the hell wants a measly greeting in a place like this?

Setting the teabag down, he instead moves, again, this time to rinse out the mug Collette made him. "Help people. That's what we should be doing. That's part of what we'd intended to do from the start: help the Initiative-Transport relationship get away from its potential as a guest on Springer. By relaying information, we'd be helping. Yeah?
