In their surface, see two young savage things
Date & Time: Sunset, Dec 17th
Location: Outskirts of the winter wonderland
Characters: Isaac (
freezerburned), Peter (
painedintheballs)
Summary: Isaac and Peter have their first full moon since coming back from the moon.
Warnings: Gruesome transformations, nonsexual nudity
It's been getting to him all day. The warm, unsettling feeling- the vibration, the warmth under his skin. He's restless, and so is Peter, but it's nowhere near the sensation that was there while on the moon. He can endure this intensity.
Still, it needs to be endured elsewhere. Peter may have gotten the two of them adopted by the natives, but that doesn't mean that any of them would be pleased to find that they'd taken in two werewolves into the fold. Kind or not, Peter and Isaac are still two supernatural creatures, and as long as they're taking their refuge away from the initiative camps, they'll need to hide what they are. Isaac can do that on a full moon, can pull back his wolf and force it to stay under his skin.
Peter can't.
So, it's with a little sigh that Isaac leans over to tug at Peter's sleeve about a half hour till daybreak, yanking him a little closer and nodding toward the front door.
"Ready to go?"

"Ready to go?"

He is, however, going to take a moment to roll in the snow and then shake off again. This gets the last off the blood off him and has the side effect of being hilarious. By the time he stands up his face is covered in a coating of white powder, which he tries to snort away without much success.

"I never told you I could do that?" And Isaac knows damn well that he didn't, but at least he has the good graces to shrug. If a flush hits his cheeks- well, it's cold outside. "Yeah. Part of what I am- I can take pain away from people and stuff."
And then a pause, as a thought occurs to him, and it must get a lot colder suddenly because he's suddenly flushing a little darker.
"I... guess it might have been helpful before."

He pads up to Isaac, sticks his muzzle in Isaac's hand and whuffs out a breath that clouds in the air.

"Feels better- so much better- than being up there. It's still there, but I can think through it."

"How well do you think you can run in this weather?"
no subject
Isaac's never really seen Peter run. The sharp corners and metal floors of the moon base were an effective hobble, and the only other time he'd changed had been inside as well. But there's nothing but snow between Peter and the treeline, and once he gets going the snow is hardly an impediment.

"Hey- hey, are we racing now? Is this a race?"
no subject
As he gets closer, it might get clearer and clearer that this isn't a game of chicken so much as Peter very obviously intending to tackle Isaac if he doesn't get out of the way quick.

"-Peter!"

Coincidentally or not, Peter's flopped himself on Isaac in a way that, between wolf and snow, blocks him from a good bit of the night wind.

Isaac wriggles a little, trying to get comfortable, but he has a large wolf laying over him, smooshing him into the snow. It's not exactly a position that comfort can be expected from, really.
"What're you doing?"

He laughs then, just a little, rolling his eyes and bringing his hand up to scritch at Peter's ears.
"I brought a jacket you know."

In a little while, he'll get up and prompt Peter to go exploring a little, racing through the trees with laughter and soft howls. For now though, he lays there, letting his eyes slip closed and just relaxes against the snow.
