Summary: Lucifer's awfully fond of socializing, so a bar is his natural habitat, coming here to seek company.
Warnings: Probably nothing! But it's the devil so there's always the possibility of religious themes to come up.

[He really did enjoy the concept of social drinking. Not only were people more willing to open up in conversation with a bit of drink on them, but it was a perfect place to meet and greet with strangers when he needed something to do - and after having to deal with the arrival of a particularly petulant archangel only a day ago, he definitely felt the need to unwind.

It's more likely he'll approach people who are by themselves, considering butting into a group of people and trying to force your way into the conversation is considered rude, but he's pretty open to simply approaching anyone.]

Hello there. [A pause, once he has their attention-] Would you mind if I joined you?

[Alternatively, if he's in between "friends" right now, he wouldn't say no to someone approaching him either while he's by himself.]

[He's silent for a minute and works on his own drink, taking small, measured sips.

Eventually though, he breaks the silence, because you can't talk angels into warming up to you without actually...y'know, talking.]

So I take it he's from your world.

Although he wouldn't have to be to leave such an impression, I suppose. I can't say I'm all too fond of him either, and that was my first conversation with him.

I do not dislike him. [He says, perhaps a little too fast. He is not the kind of person who would admit they dislike a member of their own family. Family is always sacred, right?] ...Fire is a difficult element. It is not entirely his fault. One must be patient.

[Or maybe it is, because that is a really terrible excuse if he's ever heard one.

[That gets Lucifer a look while he instinctively rubs his left shoulder. That is a tricky question, okay.]

The wonderful thing about this place is it offers a lot of choice, regardless of just how restrictive some may view their "captivity" here to be.

[He takes a look around at the locals, though his words are still directed towards Uriel.]

I'm sure you have some notion of loyalty to him, simply because of a perceived sense of duty on your part. He's all here by himself, so were anything to happen - to him or someone else - you'd feel the need to blame yourself. He is your responsibility.

But you have the choice to relieve yourself of these shackles, Uriel. The thing about living in this world, separate from your own, is nothing here is keeping you playing caretaker to a petulant child except yourself.

[He is most certainly pouring himself another drink. Somehow, Lucifer's talk is comforting, not because he intends to betray Michael yet, but because most of the time, he must go through such misery on his own, or with Metatron, which is even worse.

That, of course, doesn't change the fact that he is speaking to the devil.]

[Well, despite everything, he is pretty protective of Hell and Demons, so maybe...]

There's a difference between standing up to God and standing up for yourself.

[He leans back a little in his chair, looking back at Kevin.]

I mean, I had a troublesome sibling as well once. I understand.

Standing up for yourself cost you heaven. With all due respect, I hope I can manage better than that.

[If he ever loses his last wing, it will be for something or someone that really matters, not himself. Though honestly, he'd rather things didn't go that far.]

And so you struggle for acceptance and forgiveness from an uncaring God and his Angels, rather than accept it from those who give it freely to you for who you are.

[Not him, obviously. Despite how he acts Lucifer is very much incapable of processing all this emotional nonsense except for from a purely logical standpoint. The best he'd get from the Devil is his blessing, which is...tantamount to being fallen.
