Seviilia sensed the him of magic the moment Syllona started drawing, thanks to the magic sensitivity of her people. Her ears perk straight upward when the crack splits the air, and her eyes narrow until she hears the child laugh.

Such destruction...it makes her grin and slip out from cover with a slow round of applause.]

Very impressive, for one so young.

[lexiconning]

[ The laughter dies quickly and Syllona whips around to face Seviilia, heart in her throat. She's not sure what to do, right then-- one part of her is afraid, especially with the realization of who this is; but she's clapping. For her?

She turns red, adjusting her veil in the hopes of hiding the bashful look on her face. ]

I, um, thanks... I. Seviilia?

Ah, you remember.

[She lets her hands fall and approaches to admire the crack, tilting her head.]

That is very interesting spellwork you just preformed.

Of course, you were...

[ THE MUTINEER WHO DIED. But is it the place for that? No, probably not.
The crack is deep, fairly clean, cutting past frost and into the dirt beneath. ]

It, it could have been better. I had to break the circle to do it.

I don't believe I've ever seen anything like it.

[She walks the length of the crack, running her fingers along her chin. Seviilia is not going to ask about what she was going to say. She prefers to forget that whole mess with her death ever happened.]

[ This is so weird. This is so weird but Syllona blinks, and hesitates only another second before answering, a bit more energy picking up in her voice. ]

Well, if I wanted to make a second one, or a third, I'd have to redraw it each time. If I found a way to make, uh, a cut without damaging my circles, then I could reuse them. And add new tiers!

[ There's a tiny nod on that last bit, and while she's mindful of the space between them, saying this much feels harmless. With Kirian gone, Seviilia is the first person to praise her for her spells in weeks. ]

Perhaps the trick lies in the circuitry, hm?

[She did not claim to understand Syllona's powers, but her regenetive powers relied on a complete circuit, just as it seemed these spells did.]

Making multiples incomplete and overlapping? Without actually drawing their connections until you are ready. By nature, would making both whole not also make them incomplete?

[ 'Circuitry'! Syllona can't help the brightening in her eyes. She takes a deep breath. ]

Exactly! I had a theory about it, actually, that breaking a circuit with a follow up already built-in could hold its mark in place, or reroute energy to a broken circle and repair it at the same time-- but that's 'quick and dirty', I've heard that called. But yours' is the best way I've tried so far!

[ She quirks her mouth to one side, thoughtful. ] The only problem is it takes much more time to set up, so... I hardly get to use them as much.

Perhaps you should consider some daily routines...hone your skills. Improve your speed. You might surprise yourself.

[Syllona's enthusiasm is charming enough on its own.]
