EXSILIUM: CITY PROPER
Rather, city as proper as it could possibly be now. It’s a far, far cry from the state it was in the day the first Transports set foot in it. Now, bearing so many scars blatant and subtle from constant dips through time, fracturing or mending history, has made it practically foreign to itself.
Even now, facets of other worlds bleed through: a wall of an unusual shade here, a tree centuries away from its native soil there. One may close their eyes for a moment on the skyline and open them again to find something has been added...or removed. Some changes are not so stark or violent, where gradual gradients are made between concrete gray and vibrant stucco.
Subtle or not, the locals are panicked, twitchy, not likely to carry on a conversation beyond a sentence or two, if that.
Time certainly passes, but it seems so inconsequential now. Is this the apocalypse? When does the fire start to rain down? Many wonder...wonder and wait, not ready to make this the norm.
It’s not the most pleasant space to have to make such life-altering decisions.
EXSILIUM: THE TRANSPORT FACILITY
Unlike the other parts of the city, it seems this place has changed very little since the destabilization began. This makes it almost the model for stability, despite the truth of things: Here is where paths will merge or split, perhaps permanently. Standing in the shadow of this building, these many possibilities, can be a very suffocating feeling. Or, perhaps, the most liberating one in a long time.
This point may become a kind of impromptu gathering place, a spot for the dubious and certain alike to catch each other’s gazes before the final decision can be made and paths set in stone. Even when the weather gets to its gloomiest, this building offers some shelter...and company.
Well? Standing here, days or mere hours before the decision must be made...what’s to do?
THE UE: SCATTERED OUTPOSTS
There are three, which will be detailed in the threads below. Based on information from AI, trashing these locations can expedite preparations for the final activation of the Transporter. Expedite and further facilitate a safer journey for those on their way. A second-to-last mission, if one were to consider the choices each and everyone would make to be the last of all.
These regions haven't been left unspoiled by all this temporal activity: The landscape is littered with abnormal shifts in terrain and even pieces of out-of-piece architecture. The outposts themselves are subject to this in some ways, but the need to tear them down is quite important, and up to you.
