Date & Time: backdated to 8/20
Location: the clinic
Characters: Bariyan e Kodhi (
stonefaith), Aileen (
seamend)
Summary: oh crap did i leave the crazy monster kid alone oh GOD OH NO
Warnings: AILEEN'S BLEEDIN' OUT, YO
[ He's panicking.
Koltira's hurt more badly than Bariyan could have imagined for the likes of him. And now Bariyan's racking his memory, going through his contacts, wondering who's next... or who he missed, perhaps.
The obvious answer comes to him.
He realizes that he has to get back to Martin before anything else can go wrong.
He all but explodes into the clinic. It takes him a while to process the mess. It doesn't take him very long to realize that he is already too late. But he remains frozen, anyway, one hand still on the doorknob, staring at the blood. ]

And he looks around. He sees no sign of Martin. Something like horror creeps into his expression, bit by bit. ]
Where is...?
ONE DAY I'll draw wounded icons. one day..
When she feels like she can breath a bit more smoothly, she looks up at his face. Ah- the man who brought Martin in. ]
I tried to find the problem. He ran, he panicked.

I'm sorry. [ An automatic answer. ] Did you see where-- [ No, she probably wouldn't have. she's hurt. Bariyan's expression finally breaks, brows drawn together in anxiety, eyes downcast. He hangs his head. ]
Will you be all right?
no subject
Wait, who are you? [ She asks softly, more so from fatigue than intent, but she needs to find out just what has happened. With martin and this strange man. ] How do you know Martin?
[ And... That's about when she notices his neck. Oh no. Her eyes widen, now very concerned. ] You're hurt.

Bariyan e Kodhi. We spoke over the network. [ He doesn't remember how long ago that was. Time, time....
He reaches a hand up to his own neck, and suddenly smirks, making a low tch sound between his teeth. ]
This? No, I'm not. This is permanent.

[ A small pang of fear nags her at this realization -- she's alone, wounded, with a zombie -- but she easily pushes it aside. If he had bad intentions he wouldn't be trying to help now.
Besides, meeting Koltira already proved things were not quite like back home. ]
Bariyan... You sent me to see Martin. Are you his caretaker?
no subject
Yes. I have... I have that responsibility.
[ a sigh. he looks away. he's obviously not done a good job of it so far. ]

You knew, then, that something was wrong? [ Her words are soft, but expectant for answers. ]

And I'm glad that you did, but I'm sure you're aware he is in a very delicate state right now. [ She gestures at her side, finally moving her hands and the water away to show healed skin. The now pink water flows back into the bottle, and she sets it aside. ]
Bariyan, I want to help Martin, but that is very difficult when I don't know what's going on. It's almost like my magic was- hurting him.
no subject
I think... [ know? ] ...magic hurts him, in general. Even if it's meant to help. He just... doesn't react well to it. [ a beat. ] I wasn't sure if that was the case. I suppose I am, now.

I would have really appreciated that information before, over the network. He didn't react well to it the day I got here, either.
