Location: The Hold and Housing Complex
Characters: All who wish to be in the vicinity!
Summary: The Initiative asked for the Housing Complex to be evacuated starting early morning on 5/5, in preparation for the expected landing of the spaceship stolen from the United Earth. The landing goes horribly wrong when an undiscovered bomb detonates onboard the ship, causing partial engine failure. The ship proceeds to be crash landed into the Housing Complex; no lives, however, are lost.

The ship breaks cloud-cover as a spot of light in the dreary skies, leaving behind the beauty of sunlight above the broken cloud layer as it continues to descend. With the Initiative having instigated an evacuation of the area ahead of time, just in case, those watching in the light drizzle may find it an interesting sight to behold.

Doubtlessly, the United Earth, from its great distance, may have also found it interesting.

The first sign of something going wrong is an explosion visible from the ground. People who hear it might startle; the ship itself goes from a smooth, controlled flight path to one wobbly and filled with dark, flaming smoke. The whine of its remaining engine is slower to reach the ground, though the ship itself seems to pick up a spiraling speed, still controlled to those familiar with watching things that fly come crashing down to the ground.

The Initiative members on the ground are calling for people to get back and take cover. Inside the main Hold, one man at the transport pads hears his radio blast to life and swallows past his own fear, glancing at the active pad waiting to pull in another unlucky soul.

When the ship hits the Housing Complex, it demolishes the upper levels, though the force with which it hits doesn't seem to be the same as what it should be. Combined telekinetic buffering and excellent piloting from a former Guardian of the Universe Galaxy keeps damage to a catastrophic minimum.

[Shintaro flops down next to Kido, dropping a backpack down between them and sliding down the catacomb floor with Shiro in his arms again. He sighs as he clutches a stitch in his side and tries to soothe his pet as much as he can. All this moving around's gotta be bad for the rabbit...]

Does this always happen?

[Kido raises her head when she sees him. That poor bunny...]

Not usually. You just have really good timing in general, huh? [First terrorists, now this. What else comes in your wake?] Is Shiro okay?

Yeah, he should be fine. Hey, can you--

[He has to take food and water out of his bag, but he doesn't want to put Shiro down. Before finishing the question, he figures Kido is responsible enough to hold an animal for a second at least and gently dumps the rabbit in her lap.]

I'm going to give him some water.

[concealingeyes]

Huh-?

[Kido blinks down at it. Before she knows it, she starts petting it. How soft and fluffy and warm...]

It's okay, Shiro. Nothing bad's going to happen.

[She doesn't know she said that out loud.]

[Shintaro doesn't say anything about it. At least Kido is just petting Shiro as opposed to Kano, who he's 90% sure will start playing with the rabbit by moving him around a lot, and that wouldn't been helpful. Shiro squirms a little but Kido is familiar -- he remembers the lettuce! -- so he settles down quickly enough, letting her pet him as Shintaro pulls out the water feeder he managed to find in the marketplace.]

... You like him, huh? Here, Shiro.

[You can hold him while he holds the water, then.]

[She eases up a little to be extra gentle so Shiro doesn't have to worry. And when Shintaro holds out the water, Kido makes sure Shiro can get the best angle on it, too. He can drink as much as he wants!]

Huh? Ah, n-no, I mean-! He's okay, I guess. For a bunny.

[She says while stroking his back with her thumb.]

That's good. He's pretty relaxed right now.

[Shintaro holds the water steady and lets Kido pet the rabbit. She totally likes it. She called it a bunny and it's different from her demeanor that he figures that's where the truth is. She likes the rabbit. And well, he's not complaining.]

You think those people on the craft are okay?

[Since he's not pointing out how she acted, she actually relaxes further.]

I'm sure they're fine. ...It might seem like a lot of confidence to have but they seemed to know what they were doing for the most part. They should have at least known emergency plans right?

[He appears to start thinking about this but he shakes his head, immediately stopping his thoughts. He looks like he was starting to step into bad memory territory or something.]

I don't know. I only know that guy's name because his name showed on the post.
