[Sometime during the night, a few unidentified townsfolk had carried in several boxes with signs attached to them. If spoken to, they only reply that they are busy and they must get these critters inside before it gets too cold outside. All of the boxes are separated and spread out, mostly so that the box of foxes won't chase after the box of rabbits. Each is denoted with a sign to describe what animal resides in the box, accompanied with the following blurb:

"Get in the Holiday Spirit! Adopt a pet today!"

Somewhere near each box is a container of food for the respective animal. The people who had brought the animals inside are no longer anywhere to be found. Somewhere in the outlands, Arthas is watching.]

[ Arturia Pendragon never owned a pet growing up. Sure she took care of the stables as any "child" to a knight had to and sure she learned how to ride her own steed in particular. Beyond that, she's never held a tiny critter in her own hands unless it was cooked.

So she's not sure why she's pulling out a rabbit as white as snow out from a box or why she's taking a bag full of what's meant to feed it with her. Tucking it into the belt she wore with the rest of her armor, she'll stare the rabbit down in her hands with a strange look.

She's always had a secret fondness for cute animals... ]

[Lo and behold, said boyfriend, while carrying a box of supplies for one of his part-time job, happened to pass by the area.]

[ Glancing down at the rabbit, then back up at him. ] I was, um, I was going to prepare it for you for dinner tonight.

[ Flinching at the obvious lie, she shakes her head quickly after. ]

That is what I should say, but the sign said I would get into this holiday spirit if I adopted a pet. I saw no hounds fit for hunting, but this beast...

[ Holding up the fluffy white rabbit once more. ] This is a foul beast that surely would have harmed someone else. It is my responsibility as a knight to burden myself with keeping it from others.

[Hang on a second as he tried to translate it from the usual "I-it's not cute at all!" Saber speech to normal speech.]

...So basically, you want a pet.

[And hammering it with well, a giant hammer.]

[ Holding the rabbit close to her metal breastplate. Poor thing. ] Am I radiating with holiday spirit now, Shirou? You can be honest with me.

[ Holding up the rabbit who just wriggles it's nose at Shirou. ]

See? Is it not the most menacing creature you have ever seen? I am doing this world a favor by making it my captive!

[ She never had any real pets growing up, either. Ka Koubun said that dirty animals might make her sick! But as she scoops up the cutest rabbit she has ever seen, she starts to think that animals aren't so bad.
