The Hangover from Hell
Date & Time: December 8
Location: Unit 106
Characters: Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneeel
Summary: Lucy's woken up with the hangover from hell. Natsu crashed on the couch. She has no clue what she did, hahaha, awkwardness ensues.
Lucy's dreams had been plagued with demons. Red haired demons chasing her down a spiraling path, bottles of booze scattered over the floor, tempting her with coaxing 'drink meeeeeeeeeeeee' calls. Yet if she stopped to be tempted, the demon started to catch up. Just as she was sprinting around a corner, she heard the demon howling behind her, hot breath on her neck and she screamed -
Only to wake up with a start and a squeak in her bed, still in her masquerade gown, though her mask has been taken off at least. Rumpled, sleepy, and the slightest sound causing her head to pound like someone was beating on it with a pair of drum sticks, she groggily pushed herself off of the bed.
She was home, so ... she must have made it back somehow. She couldn't remember what had happened the previous night, in all honesty, but it couldn't have been that bad. She hoped. Ugh, she had to cross into the living room, shading her eyes all the way, wanting to head into the bathroom. Had she noticed an extra guest? Nosuh, she hadn't!

Natsu takes a big bit of his work and has to admit it beats eating charred eggs. Though he does think it could use a bit of a spicy kick to make it perfect.
"Hm? Well... There was that time when Cana challenged Erza. I don't know what got in her to do that. Probably changed her drink to something stronger that really messed with her head, I don't know." Natsu shudders just remembering the look Erza had.
"She never backs down from a challenge and back then the only drink she had was eggnog and win once when her mission involved going to some kind of party." He only heard the stories since before Lucy came around he'd never go to those shmancy fancy parties and especially not with Erza.
"After around the second bottle she started saying Master was a leprachaun and that she wanted her pot of gold now. She even went after Mira saying that was was an old bag because of her white hair.." Good thing this wasn't old Mira or the whole guild hall would have been destroyed.

Actually they probably did. Hrm. In any case, Lucy listened intently to the Natsu's response, since she always loved hearing about the shenanigans Fairy Tail got up to when she hadn't been around yet too.
And...
Erza ... did what?

Her lips twitch slightly from the effort of holding it back, and then she just breaks into a peal of laughter. "Erza did that!?" Oh Poor Master, a leprechaun. And then she slumps on the table with her hands over her head, still laughing.
"Oww - I shouldn't have done that --" But that was really really hilarious and well worth that smallish headache.

Though she'd have so much sympathy for Natsu if she knew he'd had hangovers. She wouldn't be able to bear it having his kind of super senses AND have a hangover on top of that.

"Still the party was fun last night. Even with the rough ending. It wasn't a Fairy Tail party but still I wasn't bored." And that's saying something. Though that particular truth may have something to do with the fact that she was with him for the most part.
no subject
"And you didn't step on my toes even once." She teased.
Resting her chin on her hand, she looked thoughtful at the reminder of the rough ending. "Why do I have a feeling we'll have to make apologies to the people at some point? Even though it wasn't as rowdy a party as Fairy Tail is Erza was drunk." And you were too, LUcy - but Lucy wasn't responsible for destroying public property.
Just Natsu's sanity.
no subject
"Hey I didn't step on your toes last time we went to a ball either." No you just threw up all over the floating platform. Much better indeed, Natsu.
"Well I don't know who you ran into before finding me so I can't really say how many people that would be." As for his mind, well it'll recover. Just as long as Lucy acts like herself and not the overly clingy catty persona that comes out after a good round of booze.
no subject
"What about you though?" She leaned forward curiously, "Who did you meet there?"
no subject
His plate is just as empty and Natsu now leans back on his chair balancing the chair on only two legs. Natsu joins his hands behind his back and thinks on his answer.
"Awww I missed that part." he did kinda like Lyra from what little he saw her during the Galuna mission.
"Me? I didn't really meet anyone all that special. When I wasn't stuffing my face or dancing with you, I was usually looking around poking my nose in all the rooms. There was one with a huuuuuuuuge bed. One of those fancy ones with a top part and curtains." There was definitely room in there for more than two people and it boggles his mind why someone would need something THAT big to sleep on. Then again...he used to sleep against Igneel who'd curl up around him at night sometimes. No need for a blanket when you have the dragon of fire coiled around you.
no subject
"You were probably exploring at that point then." Although she quirked an eyebrow slightly at mention of the bed. "Aww, I wish I'd seen it. I think I'd like to curl up in a big bed like that." Hee. "Even my bed back home," the one at her father's estate, "Isn't that big."
Oh wait. "Wait a second - Natsu have you met your roommates yet?"
no subject
"You'd like that kind of bed?" Well now here's something new about Lucy. Just what would she do with a bed that big? Well he probably wouldn't be able to accidentally kick her out of it when he'd sneak in at night.
At the question about the roommates he frowns faintly
"One of em moved out before I ever got the chance. She had a weird name with Y." He's actually a little bummed out about that but if that person didn't want to stick around then it's nothing he could do.
no subject
Wait, no she won't. The very idea of kissing her friend - well that was just... unthinkable.
Unless mistletoe was involved. Or booze. Or ... yeah l..let's stay off of that subject. Why would she even be thinking such a thing anyway.
"Well it'd be kind of fun to have all that space." She paused to think about it seriously. "Although it'd feel kind of empty with just one person I think. I guess-" Stop. Back away from that topic.
She coughed slightly, finding the bottom of her glass very interesting for a few minutes, a slight frown on her face at the latter. "Really? That's a shame...but I guess they must have found friends they wanted to stay with." And that meant he still had one room mate so it wasn't lonely.
... ignore that sudden sly grin stealing across her face. Nope, she didn't think of a terrible joke to play on her friend. She's just sittin' here drinking her water.
no subject
"So if you had that kind of bed you wouldn't mind me coming over as much?" Natsu logic is flawless! Flawlesss you hear!
"I wouldn't know about that really. Well it's her choice." Natsu shrugs indiferently before getting an instinctive chill up his spine seeing Lucy's grin.
"What are you scheming Lucy?" That grin is definitely the schemer flag. He's seen it plenty of times to recognize it from a mile away.
no subject
And What part two. Lucy, gathering her plate, felt her cheeks warm at that "logic". "Wha- don't be ridiculous!" Just because she'd have a bigger bed didn't mean it would be okay for him to be climbing into bed with her, jeez!
"For one thing, the size of the bed isn't even --" You know what, nooo, she is Not having that debate again. Instead, she huffed, reaching out to take his empty plate. "Scheme? I haven't schemed anything!"
Liar! ... okay well she hadn't schemed it yet. "I was just thinking if you were feeling lonely ..." Trailing off there as she leaned forward with a cheeky grin, "I could tell Erza. I bet she'd be happy to visit." She'd NEVER want Natsu to be lonely. Right, Right?
Only Lucy would never actually do that. But it was fun to see his reaction at the possibility.
1/2
Uhuh yea you can believe that lies. He doens't. And for good reasons since Lucy spills the insidious beans. It's a good thing he's not eating anymore because he would be choking right now.

FFFgh that sharp hearing, damnit. "Just get it out your head already!" No matter how empty and lonely the bed would be, she could fill it up with pillows and stuffed animals. Yah!
At Natsu's reaction though, she grinned, "Okay if you're sure," she tucked the dishes into one hand, reaching over with her free hand to poke his forehead lightly. Muffling a soft giggle, she padded over to the kitchen sink, running water to clean the dishes.
"... but you know," she said after a moment of silence to calm herself down, "If you really do get lonely... you can still come over." Just not at ungodly hours of the night, through her window, or in her bed.
Which meant that was probably exactly when he was going to pick his visitation half the time.
no subject
Still the offer does serve to calm him down. "Okay I'll remember that."
Though to be honest it's not like he'll abuse that more than he already does. And yes his choice of timing would probably stay the same as well as his choice of entry. It's just more fun that way.
no subject
Though Lucy kinda brought that on herself in not clarifying when he could visit. Plus he was crazy and liked to pick the most outof the way ways of getting in that he could. Weirdo.
She stretched her arms slightly, arching her back and wincing at a pop or two. Erf. "I think I'm finally starting to feel human again." She put the dishes to the side to dry, reaching up to tentatively start opening the curtains again.

"You mean you didn't poke your nose around there until now? That's a first. The first thing you did in Edolas once we got some breathing time was buy a history book of that world." And he remembers also how extremely happy she was with her purchase.

TEchnically she arrived still injured, and while she had come across a healer, it still took her a bit to recover. "And Erza wasn't in much better shape when she arrived, so I'd been checking up on her then." And that was about a month of time, so when she hadn't been with Erza she'd been looking around and training, too preoccupied to go to the library.
Well technically she'd been /once/ but didn't really look around in it much.

"I guess that's a trend of this place for us. The whole not bringing us here when we're at our best I mean."
