The fire of their hearts was young (open)
Date & Time: Starting Jan 19th, extending a couple of days. Vague vaguery
Location: See subsections
Characters: Aged-down Galadriel (AKA Artanis) and whoever
Summary: Artanis attempts to explore Exsilium and wrap her head around everything that's going on.
[To say that Artanis was not pleased with these developments would be an understatement. She’s found herself thrust into a strange world- yet another set of customs and rules she would have to learn- told that she’s to fight someone else’s war, and then comes across a child who is convinced that she is her mother.
It’s been a long day.
So, after ensuring that Celebrían was well cared for, she set out to explore Exsilium- a task that will occupy her for the next few days.]
[ooc: This is Galadriel (although she hasn't been named that yet) aged down to sometime during her first few months in Doriath. Using the same account and icons because lol immortality. Sections up.]

"Who said I wanted to make your acquaintance?"
And not you know, stare at the tall elf lady with the odd colored hair to him.

Staring is rude, in other words. She approaches, her hands folded behind her back, examining him carefully.
"Man i enetheg?" The manner in which she asked the question is as much a test as the question itself. There seem to be a number of elves here; she can't be certain that he's from Arda. Of course, it also reveals something of her- her Sindarin, though perfectly correct, is marked by a soft Noldorin accent.

Staring is a totally acceptable form of thing to do to a person. And he slowly sits up, brushing his clothes off.
"Elrond." His name escapes him without thought. The words are familiar and unlike her he's not fully aware that other elves not like him are here. But he does narrow his eyes slightly, scooting away a touch. "You're not with them?"
Because that's the best question in the world to ask the strange elf. He's gotten used to people knowing who he is by virtue of how he came to be with his well, fatherish figures or something. He wasn't sold on that.

The name means nothing to her. Not yet. But the question intrigues her and so she steps forward, even as he steps back. "Not with whom, little one?"
no subject
But he scoots further back, not standing yet. Her height, that look, no, he's not sure who she is. She's just rather frightening. "Maedhros and Maglor."
no subject
"I am not with them, no. They saw to that when they burnt the ships at Losgar."
no subject
And that's a sigh but he's not outright defending them. He knows some of what they've done, and it's enough to not make him a particularly happy outlook on them but he can't fault them too much. They've treated him and Elros well.

"What is your connection to my cousins?"
no subject
"They took me and my twin brother," he says that as he doubts she knows that about him and it's habit again,"into their house, after they attacked our home and our mother didn't return." That's easier to say then his mother jumped off of a cliff.
no subject
"I am sorry." She gives him a little nod. "I am Artanis, daughter of Finarfin."
no subject
"My father is Earendil," and it's said with some amount of caution. He knows who she is now, and while he's not doing much to show her respect it's more out of a 'You probably won't accept it' thing than anything else. "And nothing to be sorry for, she's with ada."
no subject
"I hardly imagine that my cousins have spoken of me." She began cautiously. Artanis had no way of knowing what they had told Elrond of her; likely they did not speak well of her, if they did at all.
no subject
"They don't speak of much besides what they're teaching us at the time," it's a perfectly safe and honest answer.
no subject
"Have you been here long, Elrond?"
