MISSION: GET TO ZE CHOPPA

Summary: All transports are sent back to Uruguay to download a self-aware AI before it gets bombed out of existence by an early incarnation of the UE. Time distortion effects will be set right either on the way there or on the way back, according to player choice.
Warnings: violence, action movie tension, 3 terabytes of foot fetish porn.

The Transporter drops the entire transport population into what will quickly be established as Home Base, a mile from the vast, sprawling facility that is Uruguay's National Defense HQ. The low roar of helidrones moving above is pervasive, but the black ships can only be glimpsed here and there through the thick cover of trees overhead. If you keep calm and quiet, it's likely you won't be spotted. It's the UND HQ their attention is on, after all.

The population is quickly sorted by attending Initiate employees according to who volunteers to fight and who volunteers to protect, along with those with enough skill to access the computers, and those with enough skill to get them there. The fighters move out first, off to intercept the early UE's ships and ground troops, and to draw the automated defense systems of the facility alike. They'll be in a crossfire, and neither side will be happy to see them there.

The techies and their escorts are sent out far more quietly, in groups of three. Their task is to sneak past the front lines and into the facility itself. There might be alarms and automated defense drones, so those escorts may well be called on to earn their keep. The Initiative can't give any information about which building will house the AI's mainframe, that information was long since lost to history. All they can do is send out enough people to hope that one of them manages to find it.

And remember — as soon as the UE troops withdraw, there will only be minutes until the bomb drops. Everyone would do well to work fast.

[While he doesn't quite have the know-how to land precision strikes on vital pressure points like she can, he's nimble as a gymnast and hits like a ton of bricks.

And he's got godmode powers, which helps a bit. He ties one man up with ribbons shot from his right sleeve like webbing, and swings his captive 'round into the trunk of a tree.]

Okay, so... [ She's only done this a few times before, so it takes a lot of concentration. One gloved hand moves to press against his shoulder, and she closes her eyes to focus; looking Deep In Thought as a blue light starts to knit the injury together. ]

[Once she sees that the spear isn't moving from it's place, the bow lowers, her guard lowering with it.]

( he starts to flinch away from her touch - it hurts for one thing, and for another he doesn't like being touched even on his best of days - but pauses as her power activates. he can't feel the skin close or anything, but the pain and tenderness actually do start to go down. he's never heard of powers like this before, much less been the target of them, so it's a surprise that she can back up her healing assertions. )

He cracked his neck and drew the saber at his side with a smirk of his own. While the idea of being outdone irritated him, the thought of bringing an actual challenge into this was exciting.

He moved in a blur, so fast that for a moment, it seemed as if he was standing in two places at once. In the instant it took him to move behind what was left of the enemy lines, several soldiers found themselves beheaded.

"Or are you just going to stand there after a display like that?"

... That sounds really weird. [ SHE DOESN'T REALLY GET IT BUT... ]

[ She knows each and every pressure point-- it shows. Anything that's exposed, she targets without mercy almost, but she isn't killing them. She's only knocking them out and leaving them with broken arms and ankles. ]

Not sure. Those who've snuck through the front lines haven't returned.

[Nathaniel pauses to wait for Shu, understanding the boy's nervousness; it's obvious that he's not used to being in dangerous situations.]

It should be fine. [He does his best to sound reassuring.] We're almost at the facility--it should be easier from there.

[Provided Nathaniel and Elza can take any guards on duty by surprise and take them down swiftly.]

[ Back home, using this much power would probably tire her out, but things were different here; her soul gem hadn't darkened at all in over a week, and so the exhaustion never had a chance to catch up with her. It feels good, to be able to help people like this — healing others takes longer than doing it for herself, but she's still finished in under a minute.

There's nothing to be done about the blood on his clothes, but at least that's the only sign of the original injury left. After a few more seconds, she pulls away with a grin, hands dropping to her sides. ]

Ahaha... just like I said, right? Try moving it now!

[Sheena sees that expression. She knows what he's thinking because he said as much before. He basically outed himself as a 'different' Zelos and therefore, one that doesn't matter. One that shouldn't matter.

So she hits him again.]

[And then she charges back into the fray. He's welcome to let her disappear. It might be best; there are a lot of things to distract and they work well alone. But if he feels like it, he can follow the flash of pink darting in and out between machines and add his own damage.

She's giving him that choice.]
