Location: The Hold Gym/Work-out-atorium

Summary: He's practicing with his staff. Come bug and distract him.
Warnings: Eh, Blaine potentially flirting? Nah, I got nothin'.

The first few days after the last mission had been the worst. The information he got from his older self was kind of shocking, but he really didn't know where the dark cloud that had loomed over him for days had come from. No matter how hard he tried to sweat it out he couldn't get the events off his mind. Now the unintentional sequestering was over.

Blaine felt a little bit lighter and he could push aside the somewhat foreign thoughts and memories and get outside. Well, outside of his room anyway. He found a spot along the edge of the floor to himself and pulled out the flashlight sized rod out of his pocket. He twisted it and pushed a button and it extended out to its full size, a little shorter than his 6'2" height. He spun it once or twice before he went slowly through a practice form by himself to warm up. Once done, he looked around and spotted someone who looked like they might want a partner.

He gave a half smile, "You wanna spar?"

You're not thinking. You're just trying to beat the shit out me. You don't need practice for that. You can do it fine on your own.

[He settled back into a balanced stance.] Don't just try to get me hit for hit. Wait and go for the knockout punch.

[He huffs slightly in annoyance, but he knows Blaine is right. This is good for getting some aggression out, but not for practice.]

Alright, alright. [He gets back into an offensive stance, takes a deep breath, and starts again. Slower this time, like Blaine said. Waiting for an opening.]

[Good, he calmed down. Blaine brought his fists up and looked for openings himself before he went in again. His punches were sharp and he moved in an out of range, not yet leaving any openings for Johnny to attack. Not on purpose anyway.]

[It's clear he doesn't like going this slowly, but he at least he's thinking things through better - and it shows on where he's aiming his hits, looking for any openings Blaine might give. Not that there's many, but damnit, he's trying.]

[You're doing good Johnny, and Blaine leaves more openings to entice him into action. He doesn't want him to get bored and start throwing wildly again, but he won't be condescending and leave them all over the place. When Johnny goes for those openings though, Blaine's quick to counter it.]

Good, keep going.

[A few more and then he'll stop. Moving around a lot can really get you winded and you don't necessarily learn better by doing it longer.]

[He manages to hold it together until the end, at least. This time, anyway. When they're done, even he's starting to look a little winded.]

Okay. How was that.

Good, good. Much better. [He gives Johnny a confidence boosting smile. Well, it would boost his, anyway.]

You see the openings and choose which ones are the most effective well. When you're looking for them, anyway.
