⚙ [open; building time is a go]
Date & Time: 4/23
Location: the training building
Characters: Leo and OPEN
Summary: Leo'sdestroying tinkering with things
Warnings: None~
Leo had started on ideas to fix up the training building before the first mission, but then he had gotten wrapped up with it, and....well, he got distracted. It happened so easily sometimes, he couldn't help it.
But with the mission over, and a little too much free time on his hands, he got back to work. He had already made a rock climbing wall (one that moved and shot out flames!), so now he was back in the training hall, trying to decide what to work on next.
So if you come in the training hall, you might find a male studying what he thought to be crude devices for training, or you might find him already tinkering on something, more specifically something of yours. Feel the need to bother him?

"I think the climbing wall's one of the best. Wish I could have done lava, like back at camp, but fire's still good, right?"
It was nice, Reyna showing some interest. Granted, it was getting his hopes up, but he'd be okay.
no subject
Really, Leo, don't get your hopes up. Please. She takes another critical look at the wall before glancing back at him. "What else do we have?"
no subject
"What else, hmmm?" Pretends to think as he strokes his chin. "Lesse. Well, I made a dodging device out of the treadmill, automaton dummies to fight, oh-- and I brought the archery range to live. That's all that's finished, anyway. Still got a lot more to do."
no subject
She glanced around at each of the things as he mentioned them, nodding her head. "You have been busy, haven't you?" she sounds impressed.... Or as impressed as she can get. "Well, don't let me stop you from continuing.... Do you have any suggestions of which I should try first?"
life*
"Not much else for me to do, is there?" Leo just grins, because he can tell she's impressed. At least, he feels that she is, anyway.
"Hmmm, well, depends on what you wanna do? Not really sure what your area of fighting expertise is." Seeing as she hardly had anything to do with him, but that was obviously because she had to keep away to control her feelings for him.

Pushing her hair out of the way, she shrugs and glances around again. "My mother is a war goddess, little is not my expertise.... I think.... I'll try that treadmill."
no subject
"Very true. But that's super awesome! I wish that were th-- oh, psh, nah. I'd be lying if I said that. I like making things. Fighting's just...not so much my thing." He'd fight if he had to, he really would.
"Go for it! That one's sweet." Not saying that he hasn't actually tried it out yet, but he knew it'd work just fine.
no subject
Passing him, she headed towards the treadmill and eyed it. Stretching a little, to keep herself from getting injured on the machine, she stepped up and started it slow.
no subject
"I would have trained more, back home, but I was kind of busy building my ship."
no subject
"I suppose being here allows you more time.... And more people to help you train."
Yes, Leo, she is offering to train you a bit. No, please don't get the wrong idea.
no subject
But then he pauses, her words finally clicking in his head.
"Wait, did you mean-- you'd really....help?"
no subject
Pushing her hair from her eyes, she chances a quick glance at him but not for too, she doesn't want to miss another obstacle and make a fool of herself. There's a glint of something like kindness in her eyes for a fraction of a moment. "Demigods, Greek or Roman, need to stick together in this place."
no subject
"Thought you said you'd never trust a Greek though?" Calling her out on a previous comment. But he's wondering what's changed her mind, because this new comment was totally contradicting.
no subject
You may never find out what changed her mind, Leo. Never. Though it has been a mission and some time alone thinking since she told him that.
She ups the difficulty another notch... And another. "I don't have to trust you to train you... At least if I'm responsible for your fighting style, I'll know how to beat you if you stab me in the back."
no subject
"If you really didn't trust me, you wouldn't be on my machine. Just saying."
no subject
The smile she offered was smug, not in any way polite, but just a hint mischievous.

Tossing the towel over the bar, she grabbed her spear and adjusted it in her grip. "Why don't we get started on your lessons, hm? It will be far more productive for the both of us."
no subject
He wasn't sure what to do. He wanted to learn, but she seemed kind of mad and that scared him. She scared him, but he wasn't going to admit that. So he made himself act all cool about it, shrugging. "I mean, if you think you can take me."
no subject
Smiling slightly? Only maybe.... If he looks really hard he might see a sliver of a smile. "Let's see what you've got."
no subject
And he totally misses the smile, reaching into his toolbelt and pulling out the hammer he favored in battle.
"So, um-- you go or I go?"
no subject
"You go ahead.... I should see what I'm working with."
