⚙ [open; building time is a go]

Date & Time: 4/23
Location: the training building
Characters: Leo and OPEN
Summary: Leo's destroying tinkering with things
Warnings: None~

Leo had started on ideas to fix up the training building before the first mission, but then he had gotten wrapped up with it, and....well, he got distracted. It happened so easily sometimes, he couldn't help it.

But with the mission over, and a little too much free time on his hands, he got back to work. He had already made a rock climbing wall (one that moved and shot out flames!), so now he was back in the training hall, trying to decide what to work on next.

So if you come in the training hall, you might find a male studying what he thought to be crude devices for training, or you might find him already tinkering on something, more specifically something of yours. Feel the need to bother him?

[ ooc: i'm working off the assumption that they haven't met in person yet, though they've spoken on the network! hope that's ok c: ]

It works? Bariyan was under the impression that the walls were there to... climb. It didn't seem like they had much work to do. Still, this one looked highly suspicious, so he kept his eye on it as he moved over to stand in front of Leo. Like he expected it to spring to life and attack.

When he was certain that it wouldn't, he finally looked down to the new machine that Leo was working on.

"Are you working on another one?" Bariyan asked, warily.

"That's a strange way to go about things," Bariyan said. He spent a while longer observing Leo's work, trying to decide for himself what it might turn into, but there was no way to tell at this stage. Or perhaps at any stage. Bariyan was hardly caught up on all the technology of this place, let alone other worlds.

Never mind. He shook his head and blinked. This boy didn't look familiar to him so he supposed introductions were in order.

"Sorry. I'm Bariyan. And you are...?"

"Oh." Bariyan's eyes widened. Huh. He had been expecting someone rather older. But come to think of it, the voice did sound familiar so... all right, then, he could handle that. That was some lucky timing on his part. He'd been planning on tracking Leo down soon, anyway.

"Good to finally meet you in person," Bariyan said, with a small nod. "Are you free right now? You probably ought to see the ship itself."

"Hot... rod...?" Bariyan echoed, looking baffled. All right, strange terminology. No matter. So long as Leo was not expecting anything more than a ship. He shook his head, and moved on. "It's in a shipyard off to the south. I can drive us over."

He didn't give Leo too long to think his answer over -- Bariyan only waited half a second before he started moving off towards the door.
