Date & Time: April 20, during the blackout.
Location: Apartment buildings.
Characters: Rin Asano & YOU.
Summary: Wandering around with a slightly-flaming sword in the pitch dark. Nothing hazardous about this proposal.
Warnings: zip zero nada. At least at the moment.
[When the lights blink out she's surprised, but not too irritated - it's not as if she was doing anything important. In fact, after a startled interim where she goes groping around for her sword and some knives (like reaching for a security blanket, to be honest), Rin finds herself laughing quietly in the blacked-out apartment.
Okay. She should take this more seriously. What if this is an Initiative attack?! She should go join the fight. If there is a fight. Or, well, just get out of the dark. What's she going to do in the dark? Take a nap? No, it's time to go outside. Maybe she can figure out why this is happening, too.
She trips and shuffles her way to the door and doesn't even bother locking the apartment behind her. It's not as if - with her weapons at her side - she has much worth stealing, after all.]
Helloooooo? Is anyone else out here? Boy, it is REALLY dark out here... hellooo?
[She puts a hand on the wall for a guide, and after a moment of thought she draws her sword in her free hand and just - concentrates on it. Just a little. In but a moment a flickering corona of gold foxfire sparkles into being around the blade. Not much heat, at least at the moment, but enough light to squint by.
Rin stares at it and then shrugs internally. Not all that surprised. The thing has been growing for some time, in some way, she could tell. And if it'll light her way, she's not going to bother figuring something else.
With that she sets off to knock on doors. Maybe she can roust someone who has some idea what's going on, or how to fix it.]

A door slamming shut somewhere behind him distracts him while he rounds a corner, and he ends up nearly walking right into... someone. With a glowing blade?]
- Jesus!

:| What to do now? Not the person she was most eager to encounter in the dark. She stands at bay and waits to see what he'll do.]

Umm, hey? Are you okay?

Silently Rin lets the stealth vanish. She's standing behind him now, and she leaps for him.]

[The sudden movement sends him halfway into a duck-and-cover (and what exactly was that supposed to do against a ghost?) before he realizes that whatever's jumping onto him is very small and non-lethal. For now.]
- iiit?

Hello.

Hello? Are you leaving too?

I can see in the dark, and if I need more light Chainbreaker here can provide some. I just... thought someone should make sure they stay behind.

Sometimes the most precious thing you can have is a place that's yours and you feel safe in. [Said a bit mournfully, and with more than a little sympathy.]
no subject
It's goodhearted of you. Nevertheless, people should learn to lock their doors. That's the least they can do.

she places her hand to the door, feeling out the lock and double-checking its integrity, then lightly rests her forehead to the door, as well ]
Who is it?
no subject
A complete stranger. Hello.
no subject
I'd much rather have a name to call you by.

[It is a name as foreign to her as the voice. She chews at the inside of her cheek before slipping the lock and cracking the door. Still can't see anything.]
No, it's all right. Were you looking for someone who lives here?
no subject
I'm just checking things out, I guess. For starters, wondering if the power's out everywhere.

It has been long indeed since any have arrived at my door with a drawn sword. [Metaphorical door in the last case, but that's beside the point.] I will assume that the circumstances here are far less sinister.
