NEKO! ([personal profile] nekoed) wrote in [community profile] exsiliumlogs2013-05-05 12:02 pm

(open) We don't care about the young folks, talking about the young style

Date & Time: Sunday 5th, afternoon.
Location: Outside the City
Characters: Neko and YOU
Summary: Neko is already sick of the weather, so she makes her own.
Warnings: Characters entering Neko's illusion will basically have their five senses hijacked and messed with to make them believe they are somewhere else. It's somewhere nice, but unless they have some sort of mental shielding/cool magic mind powers they won't be able to leave until Neko lets them. Also, naked catgirl. Her permissions post!

This place was ruining her fur something fierce. She couldn't stay as a cat for too long because being a wet cat wasn't as entertaining as people might think; there was a reason why cats didn't like water, too. Life was hard enough already (not it wasn't) with her taking care of two people (no she wasn't) while everyone else was being silly and useless (no, they weren't); she just couldn't deal with all that stress or whatever!

So as Neko rolled over the warm grass, Sun shining brightly in the sky, she congratulated herself for having such a wonderful idea. Again. If she didn't have the weather she wanted, she would at least make the illusion of the weather she wanted, dammit!

She was also naked. Because she was sick of clothes too. She would have to get dressed eventually, but not now. Now it was a moment for sun and doing nothing. It wasn't as if anyone would wander into her illusion anyway, right?

Right.

He'd thought it would be a good idea to go hiking. Though the guards stationed by the borders of the city weren't fond of the idea of him leaving, Shiki didn't let them notice him the second time around. There were always shadows to lurk and no one's eyes were perfect. Though, he wasn't expecting such a warm welcome when he stepped out into the wasteland. The world seemed to end and almost as if he'd been walking in that grassy plain the whole day, Shki realized he was standing in the middle of it.

Yet, it looked immensely unnatural. Stopping himself, Shiki noticed a clear 'web' of lines traced through the air. Those lines moved, indicating that there was death everywhere around him. It was something inconsistent. Pausing, Shiki stood out in the middle of the field, dazed. He wasn't sure what he should have done or what he was caught up in.

The unnatural world he was looking at--though, he wasn't even sure if he really was--had been absolutely perfect. He could feel warmth on his cheeks from the sun and a pleasant breeze on his ears. The grass beneath his feet was just dry enough to tell him the sun had been out at least half the day. Was it only just noon? He'd left well after lunch and it was raining. It was always raining there.

He stopped when the world's flow of magic tugged his attention elsewhere. Turning sharply, Shiki found himself eying the young lady at the root of it all. Unlike the world around her, the lines on her were stationary. The lines on her--

She was naked.

"You--!?" Shiki was predictably at a loss for words. Despite the fact that he could suddenly tell what it was he was in just by having that groundwork laid for him, his concern was still what made him a stationary target. Neko took him down with ease and, on his back, all he could do was gawk up at her, among other chemical things.

He didn't seem to mind the fall as much. Who would?

"You're naked! Isn't that a bad idea!? Are you really trusting or something!?"

He couldn't possibly be blamed for looking. He was a man who earned notoriety over his eyes, after all. Begrudgingly, he caved and let himself slide on that matter, in total earnest. This woman, naked and alone in the field save for himself, had been frolicking in the desert in some sort of pocket reality. Whether it was an illusion or not was something Shiki couldn't tell, but he decided it was easily a step up from the alternative. At the least, Neko looked far too cheery and pleased with herself for him to complain--at all.

Still, "Aren't you in the slightest bit concerned about being assaulted? Sorry if I've never met anyone with that kind of sense of ease."

Well, the naked kind. He'd met very similar.

The sudden change of scenery, temperature, smell, and weather was jarring. Yukiteru didn't think this was possible, here; in fact, the last time he experienced something like this was back in his own world, when--... no, best not to think of that. It was, to say the least, a very unpleasant memory.

His head felt funny. Finding a nearby bench, Yukiteru took a seat. This was rather pleasant scenery, in stark contrast to the 'real' world. He had left the city because, once again, transport week was a bit of a disappointment. Nobody he knew... no Minene, no Yuno. As much as he didn't want to subject any of his friends to this place, this place was terrifying, and either of them were far better suited to this kind of place than he was. Maybe Yuno was right. Maybe he did come to depend on her for protection. Maybe he was, at his core, still a coward, even after all they had gone through together.

He barely even noticed the naked cat lady rolling around, so lost in thought as he was.

It takes him a few seconds to realize what just happened. The usual culprit when it comes to this kind of thing isn't here, and sure enough, those heterochromatic eyes most certainly aren't Yuno's.

Yukiteru's face turns bright red. "W-What are you--" he demands, and the only reason he's not running as far away as he can right now is because he literally can't.

She's completely naked. If this is some kind of weird dream...

There's really no reason for him to be straying outside of the city limits other than the fact that he can. Whether it was by accident, a mindless wander through the streets that eventually bled away into dirt, or an (un)conscious desire for a change of scenery-- no one could say for certain. Or maybe there's an actual Reason behind it, capital R, where the Red Aura needs to be burnt away a little, take the edge off. A nuclear exercise turned harmless by the lack of company.

But that's all conjecture at this point, and it's one that doesn't really matter 'cause look, he's here, he's moving (for a change), probably expending all the energy that he'll ever have in a three week period. And, of course, as luck (chance, fate) would have it, this is precisely when he moves into clearer pastures.

... The fuck?

He lifts his head, eyes heavy with sleep, a half-assed, deeply buried sense of curiosity sniffing the air at what he knows (like how he knows bullets and rain will never touch him) to be a fake. There's really no reason to break this illusion other than the fact that it makes the Red Aura bare its teeth at the trespass. No reason, but he ends up doing it anyway, almost accidental, as the next step that he takes is one that singes the edges of the fake grass back into the ravaged landscape that it was trying to hide. (Sorry, Neko, this is all happening even before he realizes the source of the illusion.)
