worst pirates ever
Date & Time: 7/12 - 7/14
Location: The Chinese Seas, 19th Century
Characters: Caesar, Gamora, Jericho, & Oz
Summary: The Initative needs a new device to be tested and Caesar needs some treasure stolen; both dilemmas can be solved by robbing a bunch of Chinese pirates!
Warnings: gamora kills a lot of things, the end.
The Chinese Seas, 19th Century. The objective is to obtain control of a merchant ship carrying iron ore, gun powder, and various spices that was historically lost to a particularly infamous pirate crew. It's recorded as their only ever win, and the ship itself never returned to port.
The goal is actually to be sent to the merchant ship a day or so before the pirate boarding, survive the pirate battle and get into the pirate hold, and to secure the Treasure of the Nine Kingdoms so that it never returns to Chinese hands. It is indeed gold-plated, and part of a smaller, more modest hoard of gold on board, along with various other goods, spices, and precious stones. There is also a gold plated chamberpot. (Go figure.)

( SO HELPFUL. )
Not that you'd be worth eating in the first place.

[ Out of all the ways Onyx could end him, why would she pick eating? ]

( at least from what she remembers about adam's magic )

[ It should be like a big merit to someone's career! Even if it would really, really suck for him! ]

( because as far as gamora's concerned he's really only good at tactical planning rather than actually being someone that's difficult to kill.
and what's the point of bragging about killing them if they're not a challenge. )

[ Obviously not so much here. ]

( Gamora's reasonably certain she's got a reputation among some people for being that one person you don't screw around with. It's a start, at any rate. )

[ Does he, though? The farthest he's gotten with a reputation is being a lazy kid with most people! A few exceptions, sure, but still. ]
Oh well. It's not like I actually want people thinking about killing me or anything, anyway, so maybe it's better to be completely unknown.

( they tend to run away screaming in gamora's case. it works out. )

I know. I guess some people are just oddly skittish around large objects colliding with places they were minutes ago that way.
