open log » ❝ welcome to Exsilium ❞
Date & Time: Evening, 10th February 3312
Location: Transport Room
Characters: Open To All
Summary: Everyone is brought into the transport room at roughly the same time, in a great succession and flow of imported individuals. Everyone is being lead around in small bundles, or left to their own devices together inside the Initiative Hold.
Warnings: None.
Widespread and crowded, everyone is being transported into this unusually bright room with an efficiency that is almost horrifying. One after the other, new people are appearing -- being led, shown around and then ultimately abandoned with one final phrase; "Good luck."
The Initiative Hold is wide, like a small town in its depth and industry. You've received your weapon; you've got your keys, your netbook, and one of those robed strangers has shoved a small pouch full of what you can only assume is money into your open palm. You've been given an apartment, but where on earth -- are we on earth? -- is it? Your best opportunity right now is to mingle; at least, that's what everyone else appears to be doing. Those strangers in the robes have left. They're tending to the people who are arriving, one by one and in a quick procession. Energy bustles all around you, as you're strapped up with your sudden gifts and looking around.
Hey, maybe you'll even see some familiar faces.

[Case in point: two repetitions.]
[By now Sollux has given up his sulky slouching against one of the walls, since that seems to have been taken as unspoken code to bother him by all onlookers, largely to his annoyance. Stalking through the crowds isn't much better though. The bulk is still humans. The faces are all those he doesn't recognize, nor does he care to.]
[Well, almost all. He's seen Vriska already and - again with the twos - he now sets gaze on Equius. Tall, muscular Equius about to sweat, looking half-awkward, half-imposing, all out of place.]
The bulgethuckerth in charge mutht be going out of their way to bring univerthally horrible people to thith plathe.
[No fond look for him. Instead it's all wry frowning, eyebrows set like they could fend him off with the appropriate angle, fangs ever poking his lip. He felt shitty enough already about the scenario without him cropping up; his presence only serves as a reminder of Aradia's still-too-recent explosion.]
no subject
[But at least know this, seeing one of his kind does perk the strong troll up slightly. Equius had just arrived and thus, had yet to set eyes on any other troll. Sollux, be him... annoying and loathsome-- if a bit ...lucky, that blasted yellowblood-- was a sight for sore eyes. Equius's ears perk when he hears the familiar slur of the other's mangled speech and even though he sneers in his direction, Equius feels some means of relief seeing him there.]
I do hope you don't mean me, you sniveling peasant. But good, I suppose I will excuse your extremely rude greeting if you would tell me this. [A purse of his lips, eyes moving about the crowd again before he looks to Sollux. Equius raises his head slightly, upper lip rising.]
Amidst these hooligans, are you and I the only of our kind here? Have you seen Nepeta?
Or... [He swallows.] Sir Makara?
no subject
Keep hoping if it'th what thtuitth you; it'th not going to change what I meant.
[If there's any relief at all, it's buried vary beneath the negativity of the moment, and not about to show itself. He crosses his arms, expression not budging from his face.]
Only Vrithka, for ath much ath I wish I didn't. Though they can have her for all I care.
no subject
[He'll just ignore the first comment completely because really, why bother. More important things to attend to.]
Hmm... Serket. At least whatever this 'initiative' is, decided to bring useful trolls here. [A pause, hand moving to curl fingers about his chin for a moment.]
Extend the rest of your knowledge to me. About this place, these people. The information given was meager and not at all helpful. My exit from this place is mandatory and needs to occur as soon as possible.
no subject
Like I thaid, they can have her.
[A dismissive gesture. He really couldn't care less. But when the... not a question, but a demand comes, Sollux raises an eyebrow. Is that how it's going to be? No, of course it is when it's him.]
Okay, here'th the deal. One, you're a douche. Two, thuck my bulge.
no subject
You should- [Hears the next of Sollux's words and hitches for a moment, eyebrows furrowing.]
Must you use such vulgarity? [A huff, removing a towel from his sylladex and pressing it to the back of his neck. Equius takes a breath, looking away for a moment. He had just been ordered by Karkat of all people. Already a little riled up. He didn't need some inferior plebeian speaking to him with such a vile vocabulary on top of that, and...well, on all of this. Even if the other's ridiculous speech impediment made everything he said sound moronic to some degree. It'd be endearing if it wasn't a reminder of their race's rare bitching mishaps.]
Now then, try that again. I'll humble myself to ask this of you this time, since this is extremely important.
no subject
[Go stuff your semantics up your ass while you're at it. And respect Vriska? After what she made him do? Hah.]
[Seeing Equius retrieve a towel, though, he backs away, lip curling. Sweating already - figures, but he doesn't want to be near him while he does.]
You think if I knew a way out I'd be thtanding here talking to you? Headth up: no way in hell. And if I even had a plan I wouldn't be inviting you along for it.
no subject
Well, honestly, what more can I expect for the likes of you? Even if I despise such talk, it is reserved for your end of the hemospectrum.
[A little more attention to his neck and collar with the towel before it disappears into his sylladex again. Equius sighs, adjusting and tightening his fingerless gloves before he looks back to Sollux.]
Ah, so proving yourself useless already... Either way, I must get out of here and get back before something equal parts disastrous and exhilarating happen. Which reminds me, weren't you unconscious?
no subject
Tell that to Vrithka, Gamthee, and Eridan. Even FF'th not clean if you thwap the glubth for what she meanth.
[That look dissolves with the question, eyebrow lowering to knit with its companion, mouth twisting to a different shape.]
No. Why would I be unconthiouth? You weren't even in the main room then. P-Ethh, I'm only uthelethh becauthe you're a dickbag.
no subject
[Equius grinds his teeth for a moment, calming down before speaking again.]
Anyway. You seemed to be unconscious as a result of something that perhaps led to the death of three of our group, and a lost fourth. Though, all of this was told to me by Vantas, so take it as you will-- And dangit, Captor, enough with ill placed name calling.
no subject
Yeah right. I wath on the horn pile talking to FF, not even athleep, and the only one of uth who'th dead ith AA.
[A sharper note enters his voice at that. It's still a raw spot.]
If KK told you thomething like that, it wath only to methh with you becauthe you're a colothhal douchetard. I'll call you want I want, thankth. But even then I doubt he'd pull that kind of thing on anyone.
no subject
I doubt it was to 'mess with me'. Unless he was purposely trying to pin me against Makara. Again, which I highly doubt. Apparently the highblood as well as ...Ampora, both go on some ...rampage. Makara's being of course justified by his caste, but all the same crippling to the group. [A small sigh.]
no subject
Okay, now I know you're thcrewing with me. Tavroth wathn't in the room but I doubt whatever you're thaying there thinthe I know FF and Kanaya were both alive. I already told you FF wath on the pile with me, talking, and Kanaya talked to both of uth a little before I wath yanked here. And Gamthee? On a rampage? Are you thure they didn't lobotomithe half your think pan when you showed up, or are you that dumb on your own?
no subject
I have no reason to screw with you. That would be either lying or joking, and I don't care enough about you to take the effort. [A shrug, straightening his posture.]
Everything I am telling you now I only know due to Vantas telling me and then promptly [Swallows, licking his lips.] Ordering me to kill one or both of the 'rampaging trolls'.
no subject
That ith an abtholute load of hoofbeatht shit. He wouldn't tell you to kill Gamthee; that thopor-brained moron ith hith friend. And for reathonth I can't fathom he'th on relatively good termth with Eridan, too, even if offing him would thave everyone a lot of annoyanthe. Tho either you are lying, or telling the shittietht joke in ekthithtenthe.
no subject
I am doing neither. To execute the task of lying, I would have to desire wasting my time formulating such a foolish tale and it's components. And joking? I never joke. So, even if I do haa-- very much appreciate your titillating lividity, I an assure you, what I say is truth.
no subject
My girlfriend'th not dead, athhole. If it'th not a lie and it'th not a joke, then for all I know it'th thome completely thick fantathy you've deluded yourthelf with becauthe you're a blood-obthetthed freak who can't get over the fact that not everyone matcheth your idea of who'th thuppothed to act which way.
no subject
I... uh. I would suggest we discontinue this before I get far too anxious to continue speaking to you any longer... [His arms uncross, going to remove a towel once again and nervously press it to his forehead.]
Either way, believe what you want. Even with such... uh, results, I will not continue this discussion any longer. [A lowblood yelling at him about lying and screwing with him? Dear Mother.]
no subject
[Oh.]
[Sollux's expression morphs from consternation to disgust, shoulders hunching up as if the grossness could physically assault him should he not take proper precaution. And while Equius's care with his towel at least removes the threat of stray sweat, it only further confirms the implications of his words.]
Oh my god, you thick pervert. Get away from me. How can you get off on thomething like thith? I bet that latht idea wath right. [And the thought makes him shudder.] Ugh.
Jutht--figure out the retht of thith on your own. I don't care. Jutht don't even pull that with me again or I'll blatht you through the nearetht wall for trying. And don't get off on that either!
no subject
[Equius's nose scrunches, upper lip sneering as he growls in response, teeth grinding hard. The nerve. After after what happened with Aradia... Must the lowblood egg him on further?]
Again, I can assure you. What I say is the truth. I will not doubt the Princess's fraternization with a twit of your stature, she exercises the strangest of mannerism anyway. But from what I remember before being taken here is what I have said.
[And then quickly.]
And I am NOT a pervert! I am merely getting nervous... that's all. [A breath, doing his best to loosen his tensed muscles and return to the stance he was in before. Again his towel meets his neck and Equius takes a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment.]
[Really... really wish Nepeta was here, a pleasant thought before Equius hitches again, teeth grinding.]
Blast me thro- Captor, stop with the threats. [Gasp. Don't get off on it you say?] If you don't wish to believe me then don't I don't care. Perhaps is Vantas shows up here as well you can ask him.
no subject
That ith thuch pungent bee-ethh I bet everyone in the room can thmell it. And whatever euphemithm you want to uthe for it, keep your "nervouthnethh" the fuck away from me.
But it'th obviouth ath your towel addiction that we aren't getting anywhere here. I'm out. Don't ekthpect me to bother KK with thith shit, either.
[And if allowed, he turns to leave, muttering under his breath about stupid sweaty assholes who don't know when to shut up.]
no subject
[Also, what was that about not knowing when to shut up?]
I'll be sure to bring it up to Vantas myself. I wouldn't expect you to put out any effort to solidify your extremely wrong beliefs on this matter. But being such a loathsome individual, I would suppose crippling denial befits you, Captor.
Farewell then.
[A swallow, aanndd, sigh, okay, feeling a little less 'sweaty' once Sollux is steps away. He puts the towel back once again and crosses his arms, now taking note to search for more of their kind, and perhaps Karkat. It'd be better to just have him clear this up rather than bicker any longer.]
