Date & Time: Evening, 10th February 3312

Summary: Everyone is brought into the transport room at roughly the same time, in a great succession and flow of imported individuals. Everyone is being lead around in small bundles, or left to their own devices together inside the Initiative Hold.
Warnings: None.

Widespread and crowded, everyone is being transported into this unusually bright room with an efficiency that is almost horrifying. One after the other, new people are appearing -- being led, shown around and then ultimately abandoned with one final phrase; "Good luck."

The Initiative Hold is wide, like a small town in its depth and industry. You've received your weapon; you've got your keys, your netbook, and one of those robed strangers has shoved a small pouch full of what you can only assume is money into your open palm. You've been given an apartment, but where on earth -- are we on earth? -- is it? Your best opportunity right now is to mingle; at least, that's what everyone else appears to be doing. Those strangers in the robes have left. They're tending to the people who are arriving, one by one and in a quick procession. Energy bustles all around you, as you're strapped up with your sudden gifts and looking around.

Hey, maybe you'll even see some familiar faces.

Previous experience with space and time travel allowed Zoë to recover her equanimity pretty quickly. Having already transformed her uniform into more civilian clothes and tucked her things into the pockets of her skirt - choosing to have her native powers enhanced instead of taking a weapon had benefits - she was looking around the room at the others who'd been brought there when she spotted Orihime.

Between seeing the other girl's uncertainty and the difficulty she was having carrying all of her things, Zoë couldn't resist the impulse to go over to her and see if she could help.

"Hello, there. Looks like you could use an extra set of hands."

"Oh, hello"

she greeted as she repositioned the netbook. She let out a little laugh.

"Maybe, they should have given us bags too I think."

"That would've been a good idea, actually. Some of the weapons they had looked pretty unwieldy." Zoë's own hands are conspiciously absent of any weapon. Glancing around, she didn't see much in the way of spare fabric, the room being pretty barren other than the people milling about. "I'd make you a bag, but there doesn't seem to be any suitable material available. I could probably add pockets to your outfit if it doesn't have any, though. That'd give you somewhere to put the smaller things at least.

"Oh wow, you can sew? I was in the handy crafts club at school but I was never as good as Ishida-san," she realized as soon as she said his name that this person would have no idea who Ishida-san was.

"Ah, a classmate." She tried to clarify. She paused a minute before responding again.

"No, I don't have any pockets. They didn't put them in the girls uniforms. It's strange because the boys have them."

"No - well, I can, a little - but that's not how I intended to do it. It's probably easier to just show you than explain..." Zoë winks like a magician about to show off a magic trick. A casual gesture and green light dances around the sides of Orihime's skirt as the fabric there stretches inward and reforms it self into pockets, one on each side. When she's finished, it's almost like the pockets has always been there.

"See? All done."

Orihime watched as the light seemed to do the impossible, creating two pockets on the front of her uniform jacket. It was amazing, she had seen many unique powers before but nothing like this.

"Thats so cool!" Her voice sounded giddy, excited by such an interesting power. "Thanks!"

She put her key and money in one and the netbook snugly in the other. Now all she had to carry was the sword. She held it awkwardly at the hilt, maybe this would still be a little tricky.

She couldn't help smiling at the other girl's excitement. "You're welcome. Making or changing clothes is my favorite aspect of my powers."

Noticing the awkward way Orihime was holding her sword, she asked, "Not too familiar with the weapon you chose, are you?"

"No, I've never used a sword before…"

she paused, looking down at her new weapon, the light gleaming off it's silver hilt.

"It just kind of, called out to me."

"Well, if you weren't familiar with any of the weapons, trusting your instincts sounds like a good thing to do. I didn't choose one, myself - I'm most comfortable relying on my own powers, so I asked for them to be enhanced instead."

Orihime's eyes got a little wide before she exclaimed

"You could do that?…"

She hadn't even considered it an option. When she was taken into the weapon room her eyes had locked with the sword. She hadn't had a second thought about the decision, until now.

"I hope I made the right choice then."

The implications of Orihime's question catch Zoë's interest. "Yeah, my guide said they could enhance existing weapons and abilities as well as giving us new weapons to use. So you have powers of your own? What can they do? If they're not very offense oriented, taking the sword was probably the right thing to do, since it'll broaden your options."

"Oh, hmmm, I know!"

She takes the contents out of her new pockets and lays them gently on the floor.

"I'll show you but, can you give me pockets again after?"

Orihime takes 2 small hair pins off of her lapel. She says two words, foreign sounding, with a firm voice. "Sōten Kisshun!" Two small creatures, what one could describe as fairies appear and form an orange halo around the girl. The pockets on her uniform vanish and she calls the faeries back.

"It's my healing technique. I have a shield too, and an attack but…he's not very strong."

She returns the pins to her lapel gently.

"Sure, that won't be any problem."

Zoë watches with interest as Orihime calls out her fairies and they reverse the alterations she made to Orihime's jacket. "That was pretty cool. It's more like you're reversing time on something than technically healing, isn't it? And if you're not confident in the attack power you have, it's probably a good thing to have something else to use."

A quick wave of green light remakes the pockets in Orihime's jacket, and Zoë leans down to help pick up the items she'd set down. One of the items she picks up is the key Orihime was given, and a quick glance at it sparks a realization. "You're in #102? So am I!"

Orihime was surprised that someone she just met was able to pick up on the nature of her powers. It had taken her quite some time to even understand them.

"Wow, you're really smart." She said with a smile.

She reached out to take her items when Zoe said something else.

"Really! Thats so cool, I'm really glad we can be room mates!"

Zoë hands them over to her, smiling back.

"Well, I have seen more than a few people's powers in action, too, so that helps. And I'm glad we get to be roommates, too!"

Orihime seemed really nice, after all, and it'd be more comfortable to be rooming with someone close to her own age.
