( The shift in his own mood is evident, jaw tightening, offence sending his spine rigid and snapping tension through him. Atlas and Adonis, neither of them make the mistake of having too much pride, an ego. That might be the only good thing about Adonis, he suspects sometimes - but he doesn't hurt people, never on purpose, not the people close to him, and the implication that he would hurt Crystal sets barbs in his skin.

She knows Atlas' secret? Just as well, because sometimes it's hard to wait and write things down, and so few people here use sign language. Maybe Medusa wouldn't need it - maybe she can see the way that felt like a strike to his chest. )
