[Sango glances back at Haruto--she's not sure if he's serious. She's pretty sure Jaime would've mentioned that when he spoke to her about automobiles briefly...]

Well... it is nice that we don't have to walk. That's what I was expecting, to be honest.

[Haruto maintains a straight face for several seconds before he smiles.]

I'm kidding. This is definitely preferable to a hike. I didn't expect they'd have a bus... [Most of his traveling, at home, is done by motorcycle, and on foot, here.]

This is the first time I've seen one.

[In real life, that is. She's not sure movies count. Or rather, a movie.]

"The first time I ever saw a space ship was when they crashed one into the apartments, so I'd guess we're all seeing things for the first time," Haruto offers, easily. "How d'you like it so far?"

[taijiya]

"It's convenient, but pretty unnerving... I mean, I'm not even sure how it works," she admits with a frown. She won't admit it, but when she saw the big belching bus roll up she nearly threw her boomerang at it.

[He rests his forearms on the seat's headrest.] By the sound of it, they're still running on a combustion engine. [He pauses.] It runs by burning gasoline. Or... whatever they're using here in the future.

That doesn't really help much, unfortunately. But I suppose it doesn't really matter unless these suddenly become instruments of war.

[ringwizard]

[Sheepishly--] I thought it might not be.

[He stops, thoughtful.] It'd be possible to weaponize it, but they have much more effective tech. I wouldn't worry too much when there are bombs still out there.

[taijiya]

[She grimaces.]

Yeah... the bombs would be more effective, I suppose.

[She's not particularly fond of those, either; she was blind for nearly a week after the last bombing.]
