( closed to the kidnapped ) The Princess Peach Collective
Date & Time: August 31st - September 18th
Location: United Earth Holding Compound
Characters: Any and all characters kidnapped during the interim.
Summary: So you were walking around, minding your own business... and then you were in the UE. Welcome, friends! Please enjoy your stay. Try the coffee! It's fantastic! Better avoid the bread pudding, though... (Official Kidnappee Handbook is here!)
Warnings: Kidnapping/Normal gambit of medical tests/shots/reflex tests/bloodwork/etc. Please notify the mods if anything gets into explicit or upsetting territory.
Notes: Player created United Earth NPCs welcome to guest star. If you have questions regarding these, please ask the moderators. Remember, this is not a torture chamber. This is a scientific facility with military aptitude, and seeks to contain, not injure, its projects. (You are a project!)
Please start your threads with a date or timeframe in the subject line to indicate who may tag in, depending on their arrival!
Welcome to the United Earth Holding Compound. There may be an official name, but the workers never say: they all have their own names for it, and "home" is never one of them. Still, as you're left to wander the halls connecting your individual containment areas to the cafeteria of spartan design, and many automated food producers (along with an endless supply of green jello and fruit), you may begin to wonder what exactly this place is. Why would the United Earth have a sense of design?
(Because of scientists, someone might whisper, though you'll never figure out who.)
Mystery unanswered, it'll be apparent they do. Even the lounge area you have access to looks out upon an expanse of green -- one that you are allowed into, if the surrounding U of military buildings, with much less architectural flair, will steadily drive you back out if you're seen near them.
Make no mistake: your accommodations are minimal at best, laughably slapped together at the last minute at worst. Your showering and bathroom facilities are uni-sex, so the more modest amongst you may wish to figure out a schedule for guys and gals. Towels, sheets, and plenty of nice hospital gowns will be on offer; characters so interested may attempt to find the laundry facilities.
All the labs are state of the art, and the computers and such used by the United Earth far beyond what the Initiative has ever provided. The biggest downside for the Transports being held is the lack of ready entertainment. A few board games have been left in the common area, and a few decks of cards, but that's all.
Not even an e-book to read.
Have fun, Kidnapped Transports, and try not to play "spot all the security measures and all the air ducts" too too often, will you?

Oh, hey, Oz!

Kaede?
no subject
Did you arrive recently?
no subject
what might they have done at the party that he doesn't know about, here?
after a beat, he shakes his head. )
Two days ago. ( not as long as some and he knows, though, and also not that he's been counting ) How long have you been here, Kaede?
no subject
She can't judge him for keeping track of his time here, since she's been counting the days since her arrival. She has to pause for a moment and look at her pant legs, which she has been folding up as a past time. ]
Um, almost two weeks, if I kept track of time correctly. I'm pretty positive I'm correct.
no subject
In that case, ( casts about for something to say, before pushing at the stack of board games with a finger. ) you must know all about these by now, right? I can't say I've ever played any of them before.
( it's the kind of thing that can be said on a smile, which is why he does it. there's a light jangling sound that comes when he moves his hand; after the first day, he'd also had to change into the more hospital-like clothing, which had left him with the conundrum of what to do about his pocketwatch. it's something always on his person and most definitely not something he'd want lost in a place like this, so he's ended up messily looping the chain around his right wrist, letting the watch itself dangle somewhat. )
no subject
Or never.
She smiles and picks up the first two boxes, moving to sit them down on top of an available coffee table. ]
Well, we can do this spelling game, or try our hand at not being the first to make a ball fall. I'm okay with either game.
no subject
Why don't we try the spelling game first?
no subject
She moves the rejected game box to the side before pulling out the tiles for the spelling game. ]
Should we each start off with seven tiles, or fourteen, since it's just the two of us?
no subject
What's the difference?
( he watches her set it up, not yet moving to take out pieces for himself. )
no subject
Well, if we each start off with seven tiles, we'll have to replenish more often than not with fourteen.
no subject
( it seems like a sound enough logic, if they're going to be spelling out words. he picks up the rulesbook to leaf through. )
no subject
...Oz? Do you remember how you arrived here?
no subject
What happened, you mean?
no subject
[ She grabs the cover of the game box and puts her selected tiles in there, using the raised edges to keep Oz's prying eyes away from her letter arrangements. (Not that she really cares in the end, but it's a nice distraction for her as she speaks.) ]
I seem to be missing an entire day between when I last remember being in Exsilium and then waking up here. I just wondered if it was the same case for you, or if you have an idea of how you got here, if someone brought you here, etc.?
no subject
( there's clear surprise in his voice as he looks up and over at her. )
No, I'm not missing any time. ( he thinks; how unsettling ) I don't know the details of how I got here, exactly, ( only some vague impressions of movement when he'd occasionally almost surface from unconsciousness ) but I know who brought me here and under what circumstances.
no subject
[ It's completely unsettling. It makes her think of Barnaby and that scumbag — Mr. Maverick, if she remembered correctly? (She tried not to commit his name to memory, because he didn't deserve a spot in her memory banks.) Having to have his memories altered constantly, maybe even missing days altogether — did he feel this lost on a frequent basis? And if so, good mother she felt even more sympathy for Barnaby. ]
I wouldn't mind knowing that at least...
no subject
I'm sorry.
