Let slip the dogs of war
Date&Time: The week of the moon base happenings!
Location: Moon Base
Charactes: Scott (
workout), Isaac (
freezerburned), Peter (
painedintheballs) and everyone they run into!
Summary: Werewolves. On the Moon. Sounds like a B horror movie, doesn't it?
Notes:
This is a giant catch-all log for the wolf shenanigans on the moon. The log will be split into three top level comments:
Confrontation, for characters to run into Scott and Isaac separately and fight them/try to weaken them for containment/be mauled by them,
Containment, which will be closed to the characters doing the permanent containment, and
During Containment, which is for characters to interact with the wolves while they're incapacitated, but still twigging out- this is where possible solutions will be threaded out!
Moon Base FAQ!
And a quick note to all of our awesome volunteers! We had a ton of people respond to the plotting post, so in the interest of keeping timelines intact but making it inclusive, we settled on one actual capture scenario and opened up the confrontation section to any and all containment attempts. They won't be successful, but will still give us a chance to get some CR going!
Same applies to the during containment/solution thread. We'll probably select one "permanent" fix, but we can thread out all kinds of temporary fixes or attempted fixes in the meantime, so feel free to jump in!
Also, this was super well timed because Isaac-mun is going on a birthday road trip at the end of the week (I'll be gone until Saturday, sorry guys!), and Scott/Peter mun are both slammed by work so BACKTAGS MAY BE A THING THAT HAPPENS sorry guys ;w;
/TL;DR SORRY

That goes for some werewolves who are going nuts and tear the place up while he's trying to
angst aloneget some sleep. He darts outside of room to see what's up.]'The fuck is goin' on out here?!

There's a pause, as he smells Johnny's scent, honing his senses on the beating heart, the voice in the hallway. Once he catches sight of him, his lip curls in another low growl as he starts stalking closer.]

Whoa, what the hell? Back off and calm down, buddy, before I make you calm down.

Two clues; it's a redhead and stutters.
Once she does find him though, Charlie stops moving, eyes fixed on Isaac. So that's how he looks when he shifts. Charlie has seen some similar changes, but nothing exactly like that. It leaves space to doubt and that's bad when you're tracking potentially dangerous supernaturals. ]
Y-you, there, kid?
[ What, she can dream, right? ]

When she speaks, Isaac's eyes narrow a little, teeth gritting to show his sharp, sharp fangs. He doesn't answer- well, not verbally. Instead, Isaac curls his fingers, his shoulders hunching down a little as he steps closer to her- sniffing the air, trying to get a better idea of how to approach this.]

Tell me w-what you need me t-to do.
[ She figures there has to be a way to help him regain some semblance of self-control, but it's probably easier said than done. Still, she's keeping an eye on him. ]

attack away! :D
as such, at this particular moment, he's leaning on a rail and looking out at the glittering, endless expanse of dying suns, and a little too lost in thought should anywolf happen to, uh, stumble on him.]

And this is where Mulder steps in. As much as Isaac isn't going to go out of his way to maul someone- well, when there's a perfectly harmless man standing all alone like that, he can't quite help himself. The anger, the bloodlust, it all reaches a peak in him, and Isaac alerts the man to his presence with a sharp snarl, before starting to move toward him, claws flexing dangerously.]

that little line above his nose disappears in a heartbeat as soon as he catches sight of Isaac, though, and realizes what he's seeing - or rather, realizes he's not entirely sure what he's seeing. he slowly shifts into a defensive stance, but even as he's scanning the hallway and assessing the situation, realizing that he's now in a clearly hostile scenario, Bureau training kicking in instinctively, he can't help but still smile a little bit.
because seriously
werewolves
on the moon]
Man, if this is really what it looks like, Scully's not going to believe this. ... Hey, it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you.
[he holds up his hands, not going for his gun yet. not unless he has cause to defend himself]

finally getting cr with you \o/
[ when alisha's avoiding rudy, she properly avoids him — which isn't the best thing to do, given that she's just come back fresh from a kidnapping, but these asbo kids continue to do stupid things, and a stupid thing is alisha walking by herself around the moonbase. ]
[ it's just her luck she happens to wonder upon the back of a wolfman, huh? she stops suddenly.glancing up, alisha's freaking out just a little. ] Jesus. [ and she will just start walking back very slowly. ]
[ if only this was nathan's step-dad. ]
yesssss
And she's backing away. Cute. If anything, that makes Isaac identify her even more as prey, and his clawed fingers curl a little, and he takes one tentative step forward, then two- and then he breaks out into a run, sprinting toward her with a sharp snarl.]
♥!!!
[ the moment he takes a step forward, alisha's legs are already moving. she's done this before, many times — once with a guy under the delusion that his life was a video game, running through a slippery warehouse that she does not want to remember, and the other, outside apartments, poking a guy as if he were a bear into chasing her down for simon to save her. both scenarios had that — simon. and she's realising now that she's severely lacking in him rescuing her for a third time. ]
[ so, she bolts, as fast as her tiny legs will take her, and hopes to run into a room where she can hide or run into someone who can take on a guy with a wolf problem. ]

Of course, old habits die hard. When she sees the rampaging werewolf she's scared at first and lets out a frightened gasp. Part of her wants to run. Then the "fight" part of her fight or flight instincts kick in and she stands her ground. There's a different look in her eyes than there was seconds before. This is a look of calm hostility, as if it's perfectly normal to have a fierce opponent bearing down on her.]
no subject
It's with that confidence that he darts forward, aiming to try and slam her up against the wall.]

She bares her teeth and snarls at the werewolf.]

He uses the shadows to his advantage, yellow eyes watching her in the dark as he slips behind a crate, waits for her to move closer to this totally-safe dark and shadowy corner- just a few feet closer, and then he'll strike.]

[There's a lingering feeling of unease, like something is a little bit off - on the streets, it's the sort of instinct she'd rely on to stay safe, but up here? It feels like it's been cranked to eleven the whole time. Turns out the moon is, unsurprisingly, not the greatest place for someone used to having a constant flow of data traffic in the back of her head. So against better judgment, she's trying to ignore the warning signals right now]

He's currently strolling down one of the hallways, hands pocketed, posture easy and casual. There's a sharpness in the golden eyes and a here-sometimes gone-again smirk that belies that, though.
He picks up a whistle as he walks, cheerful and echoing eerily in the empty hall. Incongruous. He likes it. ]

There's too much rage- too much animal instinct, forcing him forward, directing him to attack whatever gets too close. And right now, Jan is close, Jan is infuriating with that sound he's making, and it only takes another split second of hesitation before Isaac steps out into the hallway in front of the vampire, his shoulders hunched forward, eyes narrowed as he watches him.
His knees bend just slightly, as he readies himself to strike.]
GENTLY... THE LATEST... god i'm so sorry this is so late, work was more hell than anticipated
For Ruka, there's no reason for a good mood. She can't enjoy the novelty of the endeavor; it's not her first trip to the moon, though the satellite of her past possessed more graffiti than government bases. Presently, she's taking advantage of the relative low population of Transports on the base to explore, charting herself a personal blueprint of the facilities. With her hands full of sketchpad and pencil, thoughts focused on proper translation of scale from land to line, she isn't giving much attention to any intruders of solitude. ]
no worries at all! I've been busy too :)
He growls, low in his throat and stalks closer, claws sharp, teeth bared. Like a predator.]
high fives in that case
It was one thing running into a lion in the Initiative Hold the month prior, she thought to herself, but this is getting ridiculous.
In someone else, it might seem like bravado, but when Ruka folds her notebook to her chest with one arm and has the other akimbo, it only manages to seem annoyed. ]
Don't you growl at me like that, scruffy. [ Chastisement, rather than pleading. ] I'm not in the mood for this.
